They need to do something about this false paternity shit...

There's a thread about it and dude looks different in OP's than his actual mugshot.

Paternity test should be mandatory I don’t care if you’re the virgin Mary. I would have a whole 20 something year old son if I didn’t buy an at-home DNA test. The mom was flabbergasted when I pulled out the swabs. Trust no one.

Don't have to be mandatory. Anybody can get one. Just have to do it in 3 years and no signing of the birth certificate before confirmation.

I think making it mandatory may be better. You dont want to demand one because no matter the result the man looks like he doesn't trust the woman.

I think maybe if you can decline one?
But even that can lead to the same issues.

if its mandatory and covered by the state and also tests for any hereditary diseases I don't see the issue.

No mother in their right mind is going to refuse to ensure their baby is healthy and safe.

Then the birth certificate is signed and now there is no backing out on child support etc on the grounds of paternity

You can get a blood test without the mom knowing.

If you are married, the baby is presumed yours regardless of the birth certificate, but you get three years to contest paternity from my understanding.

I know. I thought we were discussing if they were change the current system what would be challenges.

most men aren't getting a blood test behind the woman's back. Because if she EVER finds out?

You'd have just been better of getting a divorce or not knowing. TRUST.

it should just be mandatory to end all the bullsh*t. It never ends well.

There is really no pretty way of dealing with paternity tests. Lol

Folks just got to be upfront and straightforward. Doctor offices can run the test with other tests and mail the results off or put into a patient portal.

I would like to think the doctors are not responsible if there is the inevitable fallout when one is not the father.

Exactly. Can’t be playing certain type of games with people.

Vulcan bars

And sadly its completely understandable that these things end in violence. To me that may be ultimate crime of passion. Because not only loving a woman but the mother of your child and your child and potential family. And your extended family.

And the humiliation.

And we not discussing if the child has any health issue from the birth father.

women need to understand paternity stuff is playing with a loaded gun.

It doesn’t. But maybe the mandate could shift the behaviors. Women will not be able to be deceitful in this manner, and will require that the biological father to take responsibility regardless if she is married.

Playing with people’s feelings on that type of level is very unpredictable. Most folks have a line. You cross it, and that could be yo ass. Lol

I agree it should be mandatory. But since it's not in the government's best interest to do so, here we are having the same conversations.

All I'm saying is not completely out of reach.

Hell, you can get the tests done and tell mom you just wanted know if there are any potential health issues to look for as the kid gets older.

and again, you don't have tell her anything if you don't want to.

^^^^You 100%

I'm telling you from experience you trying to SNEAK that sh*t? Is dangerous.

And just to be honest. No woman is going to be dumb enough to fall for that, trust I've worked with at risk women and women's health.

be up front and honest.

And the crazy thing is in many states sickle cell testing is mandatory so paternity goes right along with that.

It’s mandatory for me personally whether the mom knows or not. I wasn’t referencing legally mandated testing.

Peace of mind. I recommend all men at the very least ordering a DNA paternity test online. Since the mail-in test doesn’t have to be administered in a doctor’s office and not legally binding, it’s a simple swab of the baby cheek saliva and yours then mailed out. I used the same lab the courts use for DNA testing. If I go through the courts, it’s a mandated test and piss off the mother plus possible child support. I avoided it all.

I've told this story before. This happened to a friend of a friend when I was in the military.

Dude was struggling to find work on the outside after being married and having a kid so he joined the Navy. When the kid was 5 years old they were playing in the yard and the kid got cut on some glass and he rushed him to the hospital

They had the kids hospital records and everything and he told the doctors and staff, if you need some blood just let me know, hook me up. That's my son. The doctor came to him and said, "There is no a possible that that is your son."

He said, "That's my son. I brought him in here."

Doctor said again, "There is no way possible that that is your son."

The bitch didn't know or didn't say who the kids real father was.

Luckily for him, the command he was at was very understanding. While the whole thing was going down they took him off the ship and had him temporarily assigned to shore duty.

While he could have left, But he fought her for custody. He said, "That's my son."

On the day the judge was supposed to rule, this trifling bitch shows up late. And when the judge asked her why she showed up late she said that she went out partying the night before and she overslept. The judge called her irresponsible as hell. He awarded the guy full custody and made her pay child support.

Shit's fucking crazy yo. He was married before he joined the Navy so she did this shit while he was home. Trifling bitches

Walmart has a paternity test for $15.

If one doesn't trust Walmart, there's many other paternity test kits for less than $100.

And the Mother doesn't have to know.

the-choice-is-yours-dream.gif

yeah thats much less invasive

But if you have to do all this?

You already know the truth or you shouldn't have lied down with someone you dont trust THAT much, that you would have to sneak around to do this in the first place.

Okay I completely understand this.

But I couldn't be with someone or raise a child with them if my doubts were that strong.

But do you see this is the issue.

Women feel like if you want a test that you don't trust them. And the men feel that they trust the woman and don't feel the need for the test.

And that's how one ends up in situations like what this thread's about.

It's a lose lose and someone's gonna end up mad.

Of course. But the solution is don't have unprotected sex.

There problem is solved.

And KNOWING all the problems why would you want to?

No one involved in this has clean hands.

Is an orgasm worth 9 months of pregnancy? 18 years of child support? a lifetime of sacrifice?

Because I understand all the sneaking around and testing etc but that isn't going to "cured" either way.

*honestly if I WAS in that situation? I wouldn't want to know but I would NEED to medically so your right Red.

This is just a messed up situation all around

But it COULD have been avoided.

Not having unprotected sex is not as simple as it sounds. You make it seem like there are not numerous cases of married couples in the same boat. Are you suggesting that married men should wear condoms? Also, men in long committed relationships who live together with their women go through this as well. It's not realistic to say everybody just need to wear condoms.

You're right about the unprotected sex, but many married men are turning up having the same issue.
