I know a lot of people abuse Section 8, but I think there needs to be a lot more affordable housing first. Average rent here is about $1000 a month. Someone making $16 an hour with kids can't afford that. I think Trump is going to exacerbate the homeless family problem.

Don’t know, never had to be on it. It’s needed for sure in certain circumstances. Like, if you’re permanently disabled there shouldn’t be a limit. Maybe 5 years max considering young parents on their first kid. For the years until kids get into pre-school/kindergarten then maybe a 2 year at time limit after that? I would propose that after two years, we slowly increase the portion of rent that you are responsible for.

Trump sees black people thru his own unique lens so I have no comment on him.

Trumps tax plan increases taxes for those making less than 30K a year so fu@# him.

I know women who have turned down the opportunity to be married with stable employment so that they could remain on section 8 and food stamps.

Didn't want to earn more than the maximum income requirements.

It was a choice not forced by economic conditions.

Other adults shouldnt be required to support you and you offspring.

There are more white people on section 8 than anyone else.. the most highly concentrated area of section 8 individuals is a Jewish part of Brooklyn where literally 10s of thousands of Jews live rent free.. section 8 is also used with rich people and European foreigners..nigs be driving Benz and getting food stamps.. there’s tons of loopholes those pale skins use to get free housing.. yet they will have gullible people believe this is a black thing.. there are also a bunch of disable, elderly, and even vets on section 8..limiting it is a terrible idea

It's not going to happen.I know people who have been kicked off of section 8 ,a few times and got back on even with the waiting list being the way it is.

I can't speak for anywhere else but my state is one of the easiest places to get welfare or housing if you want it and to abuse the system especially if you have kids.
