Stop buying Firesticks. Amazon is disabling side loaded apps.

Ditch the firestick while you have time to do so and get you a android box or Nvidia shield.

Nvidia being worth 3X+ off of graphics cards was the worst thing to happen to the shield.

Reportedly there was an update model in the works pre-pandemic, slated for 2023 ish..... but now.... they may not ever make another streaming box.

Hell GeForce now is still available on it, so why make something new?

(Unless gaming makes a big leap forward and GFN needs newer equipment.)

That was my issue with the Nvidia shield because of the update stuff.

I always used android boxes that never steered me wrong that would update. Also, while this old android box that I have which haven't updated in years is still going strong for 18 years.

I'm now looking forward to getting me a new android box that has android 13 with Google being legally installed..

I mean, they just got a software update in February which I guess people liked..... but again the hardware is 8 yrs old...... there's only so much they can "update" the software.

Being back on an Android box is alright. I can use a keyboard and mouse again. Instead of the remote controller. Way more speed and memory than a Firestick and I can put an SD card in it. Fuck a Firestick.

I just have a lot of premiums apps and other cheap IPTV for backup just in case my main one has issues. But so far, my main IPTV has been smooth with no issues at all.
