No FEMA. Severe Central Texas flooding

Maybe a drainage system would help...

Texas be on that BS with that drainage issue, they stay having floods and stuff, not to mention board houses.

Time to let go of camping cacs and move onto other things...

I won't say I care much because I do, this is GOD's reaction to their racism they constantly use and fight for.

Can't even protect kids, camping and in a boarded up trailer surrounded by lakes with poor drainage?

Not to mention the politicans eat off the money saved from not having to use, so according to their logic start praying...

I don't care much at all future racists anyways.

For people wondering why at times I get hard of democrats it's because I'm in Florida and if they had it their way our drainage system would be just as bad but ours is actually better due to tight regulation due to hurricanes.

But if they could get us to agree it would be worse, these crackers have no shame until some white mom lost her kids then they cop pleas and make changes.

How does a lake rise 25 feet in like 7 minutes? you got no system of protection there, nothing at all, you don't care until people die and this time it's all cacs so watch them endorse changes.

Central Texas and the TexasHill Country topography has a thin layer of top soil with rocks and boulders under. That area of Texas is normally pretty dry so the ground doesn't hold much water so all they have are rivers around. All them rivers drain to the Gulf of Mexico which are not close to Central Texas.

They have had way above normal rainfall this summer and this week they got hit again. 10 inches of rain in a couple hours will do damage anywhere, especially a place that doesn't get that type of rainfall.

You could have the best drainage system, but it wouldn't drain fast enough with a storm dropping heavy rainfall rates.

R.I.P. to the victims, I can't imagine the horror in sending my kids to a summer camp and seeing this happen.

People in Texas (and elsewhere) are gonna get mad when folks (on the Left) talk about the politics that led to this tragedy but it needs to be said and heard.

Whether you believe in karma, causality or not, I feel like the actions by those in power in Texas (and in Washington) had an effect.

Just like how the Egyptians suffered through the plagues due to Pharaoh's hardened heart in not freeing the Israelites in the Book of Exodus, people in Texas and other Red States are going to suffer due to the actions of the Republicans they support.

I'm not really religious but I do believe in God, and I believe in the saying "God don't like ugly."

The flood warnings had been there since Thursday night. The only thing they got wrong was the amount of rain (5-7 inches predicted then) but that also can be put on budget cuts because they couldn't do 3 soundings that would have given them more information.

This is what happens when you cut people and expect AI to do their job, when in reality they were physically gathering information that enabled the accurate prediction in the first place. Expect to see this more and more over the coming years, especially as people learn to defer to AI for everything instead of checking it's prediction to see if it was actually sound.

That’s Infrastructure spending you are talking about.

The GOP is against Infrastructure spending, we saw how the opposed Biden’s Infrastructure Bill.

I hate to say it, but this is only the beginning. I'm in Houston, and the Houston-Galveston office of the National Weather Service is only operating at about 40% below normal efficiency. They simply don't have the staffing or the technological resources to provide proper forecasting anymore, and hurricane season has just started down here. You literally have to check updated forecasts every hour, all through every day now to have a chance at knowing whether rain is coming, and still that isn't enough. Twice this week, I've been caught in really heavy downpours, even though the forecasts for both days were for sunny, dry, rain-free conditions. I've been living in this area for nearly 20 years, and I've never seen this before. These Republicans are making hurricanes no different than earthquakes - you won't know they are coming until you're in the middle of it, and by then it will be way too late. People are going to die in larger and larger numbers in this state, and I'm making arrangements to get out of here as soon as I possibly can.

OK, people in the Carolinas you better get your shit together now. The government is not going to save you. I don’t think it’s going to be a hurricane, but it’s going to be a ton of flooding.

it will take at least 20+ years or more to recover from this administrations policies maybe never if we keep voting people like abbot and frump in office. i dont care what party you are from you should still vote for whats right and not to please your party or some orange asshole
