At this point, he may try to, but it’s not going to work. Republicans tried to be sick about holding off most of the cuts until late 2026?early 2027. The Democrats need to beat people with people over the head about that fact.

So essentially we're looking at a year and a half before any of that can take place.
That's not very comforting when you look at all the damage he's done so far in his second term.
If the Democrats get enough numbers, they could change the budget back to where it needs to be, but they have to get a major amount of people in the Senate. Also, a lot of white people are going to not because they are going to suffer so bad, especially the ones in small towns.

The problems of Republicans will be facing if the small as medium town white people who depend on the government. They are not gonna vote or vote for Democrats. As I was telling people a few days ago a lot of people depend on these cuts that they are making. They don’t even get me started with Florida. Those nursing homes are going to feel major pain.

The thing is most of the pain to be felt won't be felt until after the mid terms.
Also if you look how loudly people were about the price of eggs, gas, etc........ under Biden and look at how quiet and content people have become under Trump (even though things have gotten worse). You can see that people pick and choose depending on who and what party is in charge if they're outraged or not. Under republicans people feel great but under Dems they feel horrible. So even when people start feeling the pain. They will more than likely not be outraged or outraged enough at republicans to want to change party control.

The advantage Trump and the Republicans have is they don't have to satisfy too many groups as opposed to the Democrats who have to satisfy liberal whites, African Americans, LGBTQ, Latinos, etc.
The Democrats are stretched too thin trying to satisfy so many groups and causes.
Trump and the Republicans only have to satisfy the white, religious middle and lower class by appealing to their racism, fears, and religious ideology.
In recent years that's meant stoking the fears if minorities taking over including immigrants all if whom are going to outnumber and take over to go against them with the assistance of the Democrats which has worked.
This last election they hit the lottery since running against a woman who is also black not only galvanized their base but also delivered some of the most chauvinist and racist individuals who may normally have voted for the left.
I wish I knew.
Sadly my only thought is to find a safe white male to run in 2028 and in the mid-terms make these determinations based on district demographics.
I could still see Tim Walz winning the presidency and he's already vetted with the experience of running as Vice President.
As a black male it sickens me to think and say this but looking at it realistically I think that's the best play for the next 3-4 years.
In the meantime the Democrats can utilize the same tactics that were so successful for the Republicans in obstructing and delaying legislation via lawsuits throughout the country challenging them on everything.
Win or lose the delays can be effective and worked great for Republicans.
But it seems they dont WANT to that.
Its like they still obsessed with the moral high ground.
I think its time for Obama to speak.
I like Newsome but he's become too polarizing. A year or two ago I would have definitely said yes. But with the homeless issues, protests, and how they've portrayed him I think it will be difficult.
Even people on the left may have turned against him now.
I almost wish he would have just run in the last election since they had to force Biden to drop out anyway and he could have easily slid into place since he was already running.
I would vote for him though and definitely think he's qualified but they will need to beigin repairing his image right now of he's going to have a chance in 2028.

For example look at how many Democrats damaged Kamala on the first couple of months and refused to back her since they didn't like he how Biden was pushed out.

What's even crazier is around that time the Republicans were running a confirmed statutory rapist for office who refused to drop out and still almost won.
Since then multiple Republicans with questionable sexual behavior have run and won elections including Trump (who has multiple rape allegations with one literally having DNA proof), Matt Gaetz who almost made it into Trumps cabinet, and Kavanaugh who is now in a lifetime appointed position on the Supreme Court.

My recollection was that he didn't actually grope her but simply acted like he did for the photo which I believe he still contends.
However, the woman alleged that he did grope her and attempted to kiss her (I don't think either happened when this photo was taken though.)
BTW this isn't a soldier its a radio host and the photo was taken during USO tour before he was in office and performing as a comedian.

I think they have to vet anyone who runs like they would a presidential or vice presidential candidate.
Even then that's no guarantee but they have to take as little risk as possible since their side will give them no grace unfortunately.
