Yeah, rockets put all their chips at the front of the table to get KD, this is his last ride in the NBA til it's time for him to retire.

Rockets said championship or bust.

All? Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, this year's #10 pick and bunch of useless 2nd round picks is not putting all of their chips for KD. Rockets still have all their young core players that they value along with a bunch of 1st round unprotected picks from the Suns, Nets & Dallas I believe.

If your team was in the Rockets position, you have to take the gamble & do this trade. Now if you want say a team did a championship or bust move you would be better off saying Orlando. They gave up 5 first round picks and 2 of their role players for a nigga that never made an all star team in Desmond Bane.

Its fair to bring up KD's injury history but if it doesn't work out this team has enough draft capitol and their core players to not fall off a cliff.

So, what's the rockets blueprint for wanting KD?

Are y'all looking to contend for a championship or just making the playoffs?

I mean the rockets could've rebuild but when they got fred van fleet, they got another vet in KD and I'm sure they're looking to get another star player down the road to try to compete with the other teams in the west. I think the rockets gonna have a big 3.

I know it's a risk but KD is still a problem when he's healthy which he can help the rockets but at his advanced age, he'll be dealing with injuries more frequently

Magic getting bane makes them better on paper and could have them making noise but I don't think it's championship or bust for them no matter what they had to give up for bane.

The blueprint for wanting KD is because he's KD & he said he wanted to play for the Rockets!! Lol. At age 36, he averaged 27/6/4 while shooting 53% from the field & 41% from 3.

I'm pretty sure the goal is to try win a championship after finishing #2 in the west. Vegas now has the Rockets as the 2nd best odds . What are we doing here with this discussion seriously? Rockets are trying to win the chip.

If your team (Philly) finished 2nd in the east & lost in the same manner in the playoffs as the Rockets then hear that KD wants to join yall, you gotta try to make it happen. Especially if it doesn't gut your team or draft capitol.

If you need further reason why the Rockets need a guy like KD and got rid of Green & Brooks...

I don't believe the sixers were ever gonna get KD regardless of where they would've been in the standings.

But like I've said good luck to the rockets and KD.

It all good.. I just disagree with the notion that the Rockets put all their chips on the table for KD. They have ammo to get another star if they wanted to, so I don't see how this sole KD move is championship or bust situation.

I wasn't dissing the rockets moves but maybe they feel KD is the missing piece to finally get them to the top as long as he can stay healthy.
