One thing that needs to be said for the record.
If the U.S. just carpet bombs Iran on behalf of Israel tonight and then doesn’t have a concurring CIA operation to destabilize Iran internally, then tonight is going to make the Ayatollah and his lackeys 100x more powerful.
The rallying cry of the 1979 Iranian Revolution was that America was Big Satan and Israel is Little Satan.
Ayotollah Khomeini’s propaganda was that Israel was just an American pawn in the Middle East. There to do America’s dirty work for it. And give it an excuse to indefinitely operate in the region to steal Muslim land, resources, and sovereignty.
If the U.S. bombs Iran back 1,000 years tonight, but leaves the Ayatollah standing, then his propaganda only becomes more effective.
And if you don’t believe it. Just look at the Taliban retaking Afghanistan within hours of a 20 year American occupation ending.
If you don’t cut off the head of the snake, you just make the snake stronger and more resilient.

Interesting how this statement seems to characterize Iran as the "snake", in a derogatory sense, when the nazis are clearly on the other side. Not that Iran is Utopia by any means, but Israel is CLEARLY the aggressor here.

I just had a terrifying and sobering thought:
What will happen if the U.S. enters this war, with a president who actually thinks the prime minister of the UK is the prime minister of the EU, and a drunken, racist, misogynist secretary of defense?

It wasn't an insult it was an assesment of his effectiveness under pressure. He is known to fold so if a war comes he will fold and hide.
Nothing you can say on BGOL will solve nor address the gravity of the matter. In times of war the president has unfettered power it is all on him. Ain't nothing you or I can do about it. The best you can hope for is he won't drag us in to a costly war because he will fold to the bad publicity and the effects on his money. It ain't gonna be armageddon because he's Taco.
