The NBA finals is happening!!! The NBA needs people focused on and watching that, there are many months for player movement news. There is zero tangible benefit to this. Only committed fans care about a Memphis/Orlando trade anyway. The timing is terrible.
I remember after the Celtics won last year, sports analysts saying it was disrespectful to start announcing transactions so soon. Celebrate the Champs for a few first. I agree with that. I think Bane will fit perfectly in our starting lineup. We desperately needed someone who could facilitate the offense and actually shoot the fucking ball. With Bane and Suggs on the court, defenses won't be able to swarm around Paolo and dare us to shoot a three.
The problem is our bench. Cole was the spark of energy with our second unit. Even with getting Mo back, we still need scorers/shooters to come off of the bench especially if guys get injured.
As far as the picks, that was a lot. I still need to read the details but if we can find a backup PG for cheap then I think we'll be okay.
As a Magic fan, this was more of a "We hear you" than just a win now thing. I rather them do too much than do nothing at all, which is exactly what they've done the past two years outside of KCP.
I feel ya but the NBA tries to model like the nfl; as it relates ti news and they want to constantly stay in the news no matter what! And not really as it relates to committed fans.
