Man, that's a part of why I love the way we can talk shit here. As men we like to talk shit. I still talk shit with friends and peers from time to time. Since we were teenagers we would do talk trash and sharpen our 52 Hand Blocks. My friends and I were not and are not the type of Black men to entrainment the company of men with thin skin. As friends we all agreed and understood emotional instability was a serious foible. Often times indicative of other character flaws. I still hold those tenets to this day.
Right now there are many people in prison because they did not control their emotions. A few years ago a friend of mine who has done multiple tours of New York States prison institutions, told me many of the men were in prison behind some pride based bullshit. Suffice to say, a man's ego can be his worst enemy. I only did two years in catholic school and I learned pride is a sin by second grade.
