Daisy knew that her daughters would go searching for their gifts, so she incorporated you into her scheme and asked you to hide the gifts in your apartment until Christmas day.
Daisy knew you stayed up all night and she would wait for her daughters to be sound asleep and then contact you around 4:30 or 5:00 AM and then come over and retrieve the gifts from you and then place them under the Christmas tree in her place.
