Drug dealing was always an option in the tax free economy due to lots of consumers.. in nyc depending the area you usually had diff consumers of diff vices especially depending on diff eras.. heroin, coke, crack, extacy, Pills, etc.. when there were customers there were always opportunists.. the drug dealer was created.. growing up I knew various opportunist… so seen many consumers in the 80s and definitely opportunist weren’t far behind.. even today there’s always consumers and opportunist

During my youth, I had a buddy for a few years I knew sold weed. I didn't know he also sold coke. Coke is a very interesting drug.
If you do GOOD coke, you will very soon be wanting some more. REALLY wanting some more. And really soon.
This is why I never developed a coke habit. I am not ashamed to say it scared the shit out of me. Made me feel like I could jump from building to building like Spiderman, and instilled in me a raging desire to fuck.
Women with coke habits are tragedies in flesh. They will fuck ANYTHING as long as it provides them with a steady supply of good cocaine. I have met stock brokers, public officials, computer salesmen, and was allowed the opportunity to meet people who were famous in the entertainment industry--all through and association with the coke man.
The cocaine scene, at least back in the day, attracted a WIDE variety of characters and types. Some of them fascinating. Some endearing. And eventually, someone very dangerous.

You will find the people in the coke crowd get VERY angry when a coke deal fails to materialize, or turns out to be something less than the desired purchase. You also find many of the niceties we are accustomed to among friends who, let's say smoke weed together on occasion, are gone. At the end of the day, it is all about the business of getting MORE coke. I also met someone through my former buddy who did so much coke it dissolved his nasal septum, leaving him with essentially one big nostril.
That was about the time I called it quits, if memory serves.

i am of the opinion that addiction is more about the user than the drug. well, that is, until you get into the super hard shit like heroin. i have known and do know a helluva lot of casual cocaine users, people who will do it at a party like people who don't buy cigarettes but will bum one off somebody if they've had enough drinks at a party. everybody ain't built for it but it don't destroy every life it touches by a long shot.
