Joe Budden podcast done? No Rory or Mal for 2nd straight episode

RG3 has always been on some white man's ice is colder, weirdo house ninja shit and its been obvious since Baylor. That aint new. But Ryan used the most simplistic platform to launch that insinuation from. He didn't need to use his relationships with white chicks. We ALL know, even white folks know RG3s get down. I dont think Ryan is on that tip at all. What I am saying is Ryan 1. Broke man law, and 2. Put too fine a point on RG3s uncle Tom shit by focusing on his weirdo race play with white women.. All the while being super deferential to his wife as to not offend. If you gotta do all that, then just don't use that tool to build the deck!!! But since he did, the obvious rebuttal to discount Ryan is......... You aint exactly clean enough on that front to speak on RG3s kinks. (If someone wanted to muddy the waters on his take.) Thats my take on it. Ryan was sloppy with his take down, even if i understand his greater point. We can respectfully agree to disagree.
After watching this vid

Yeah we're good. You're sounding like RG3 when he was explaining that Ryan attacked his wife, his kids and his entire family.

That didn't happen but you can't tell Rob that. So if no one can tell Rob that, then I definitely can't explain that to you so we're good.

And after peeping some of the comments on the vid, most felt that Rob was full of shit too so we can end this discussion.

I understand what he was trying to say (the poster) but I agree with you. Ryan only brought wife up to show how rg3 acts responds suggests deals talks about white women; and clearly he has an issue with black women. So I ain’t mad at all for Ryan pointing that out in the way he did…

If a person saw this

And tried to explain why RG3 would make a video speaking negatively about the Black woman yet say nothing about the white woman.

The first thing that person would mention was RG3's wives to paint the picture of who he is. Then mention the fetishizing of white women by RG3.

But not on here, on here we have two members that...

Redline: Hey two members, can you tell my why RG3 would attack a Black woman in that situation when she did nothing wrong?

Two Members: Since it's against man law to say that the man that we're talking about has a wife and say her race. RG3 hurt his knee in the playoffs while playing for the Redskins.

What you are saying doesn't make sense. The take is based on an interaction between a Black woman and a White woman. Are there other examples of RG3 being a coon? Maybe, but the focus of the take at this moment was why did he choose to attack a Black woman while not mentioning the behavior of the White woman. The context matters and it fits. Now if RG3s comments were more so based on the play or overall performance between the two and Ryan used his wife as his reason for RG3 supporting C Clarke that would be questionable and id likely agree with your take.

Even the assumption on man law about not discussing a man's family is kind of flawed. When you hear this, usually the person is disrespecting the wife or kids. That is the issue; not mentioning the family in and of itself. For example, Kanye clearly has some issue with Jay-Z. Kanye bringing up Jay-Z's kid potentially being artistic is a violation. Saying Beyonce is ashamed of her kid and hides him(?) from the public is a violation toward Jay's wife. Had Kanye said something like Jay and my kids are cool and regularly interact with each other no one cares even if his comments towards Jay were negative.

I don't know anything about Ryan dating history. That said, dating woman from different backgrounds isn't a crime. And there is a difference between a man who dates whoever he is attracted to and a man who exclusively dates White woman or whatever. Usually the guy who dates exclusively feels the need to disrespect Black women to the point of acting as if they are less than human. While uplifting White women ( or others) and constantly saying how they are superior to Black women. According to Ryan, RG3 fits that bill. Unless RG3 can point to examples of Ryan behaving the same, Ryan having kids with a White woman is irrelevant. Disrespecting Black women is the crime; not dating White woman.

I was gonna let it ride but you're conveniently missing my second point. Ok, take the man law shit and throw it out. Now. Both them dudes is/was fuckin white chicks. So while RG3(on the surface) just displays what could be written off as some weirdo ass race play shit... Ryan got mixed kids. So that dude, aint the dude that gets to make the point by using RG3s relationship with white women. Umar can make it. Malcolm can make it. Bron can make it. But a dude with mixed kids does not. Thats what im saying. Ryan ain't bulletproof based on optics to pull it off. I do NOT believe that Ryan is a coon. But if all hes gonna use to call out RG3 is his relationship with white bitches. The obvious pivot is to Ryan and his mixed kids, even if they're not equivalent.(and they're not) Now that disrespect has been launched, the shit can get real muddy so I wish he wouldve used something else. I get Ryan's point, I get your point, Guyvers point. It aint a difficult one to grasp. But neither is mine. If you gonna bring up race AT ALL here... Its probably best if you aint got mixed kids, cause the belief is(fair or unfair) that you can't be on some pro black shit when you fuckin with white heauxs/men.

It's not about having mixed kids or having sex with white women.

It's about RG3 living in a white world, surrounded by whiteness. Fetishizing and loving whiteness, so much so that he instantly attacked a Black woman when she did nothing wrong and said nothing about the white woman who did wrong.

Ryan\Me: RG3, your wife's white. You fetishize white women and put them on a pedestal. Therefore you instantly attacked and singled out a Black woman who did nothing wrong.

Mt . Yukon\Complex: YOU ATTACKED HIS FAMILY!

Ryan aint the proper messenger. Right/wrong, fair/unfair. i understand his point and I think RG3 been a coon. But Spike Lee can say the shit with zero pushback. Ryan... Ehhhhh. You and I both know it too. Not that you agree with it. But how much pro black shit are people really trying to hear when the person ain't the blackest of the blackity black shit???

Yeah, you missed all kinds a nuance and just wanna be right on this so bet. Be right. Enjoy your holiday fam.

That's the issue, you think it's about being Pro Black and I don't. It's just about "Being" Black and knowing your Blackness.

Martin Luther King and Malcolm X didn't need to come from their graves to tell RG3 that he was wrong and why.

Steve Urkel could've told him and Steve would've been right.

A white person could've said the exact same thing that Ryan said and that white person would be right.

You're hung up on the messenger and that he has a mixed child and that's far from the point. It's not about being Pro Black or about only dating Black women.

It's about RG3's mindset.

There are no nuances needed to be addressed because you're speaking about points that aren't relevant to this conversation.

I don't want to be right, unfortunately I am but that's not the point. I'm just explaining to you why RG3's family wasn't attacked and that Ryan didn't break man law.

You're talking to me about Dr. Umar, mixed kids and dating white women.

None of that is relevant or a nuance that needs to be mentioned in this discussion.

Enjoy your holiday too.

Here's more nuance you missed in your attempt to be right. I never once said IIIIIIII felt that way. I said I wish Ryan would've used another tool BECAUSE right or wrong the easy fuckin pivot was going to be "nigga you got mixed kids, STFU!!!" You've seen it/heard it before, so have I. So to keep the focus squarely on the message. He should've used another example. His point isnt some deeply mysterious one that i don't get. We all know RG3s get down. But to keep the focus on RG3 being a coon. Use something nobody can come back at you on. Even if that rebuttal is flawed as fuck. You act like what im saying is alien when we're legit having this convo on BGOL where anyone can spin anything for jokes, to "win" a debate, to ignore the prevailing point and focus on something inconsequential, to create a strawman. So that's why im saying I wish Ryan would've used a different example. We been having 2 different discussions cause you really wanna be right and clown so you glossing over the nuance.

I’ve been on this board a long time and anyone who’s had a discussion with me knows, I don’t have a problem being wrong.

And unlike most, I admit when I’m wrong. So this discussion isn’t about me wanting to be right.

You say that Ryan shouldn’t have mentioned the race of his wives, and not mentioned that no Black people are in his household and that RG fetishizes white women.

Since you state that Ryan shouldn’t have mentioned any of those things. What should Ryan have mentioned to paint the picture of who RG3 is?

What should he have said that would give some insight as to why RG3 would immediately attack a Black who had done nothing wrong?

If you were to bash Jason Whitlock, can't you call him a coon without mentioning his mother?

Ryan has said he shouldn't have mentioned his wife multiple times. I'm still confused why some of you keep defending him, when he said he was wrong.

Where did they go?

Ryan's daughter got dragged into this for no reason, and Marcellus shows you can be a coon with a black wife. Marcellus can speak on black women?

Yes you can speak on Whitlock being a coon because the words and viewpoints that he's expressed displayed that he was a coon.

What viewpoints and words has RG3 displayed that shows that he's a coon?

You're right Ryan's daughter got dragged in this for no reason. Because not only did his daughter literally have nothing to do with the conversation, bringing her into the conversation still didn't prove or add to any point that was attempted to be made.

It wasn't simply about dating, marrying or having kids with white women. It was about RG3's mentality of white women, fetishizing them, marry them leading to attacking a Black woman unprovoked in a situation where she was wronged.

Le'Veon didn't understand that it was about more than just being with a white woman .

And I've already stated that a white man and Steve Urkel could look at RG3's situation and speak on based off of the optics.

giphy.gif

And a coon "Marcellus" defending a coon is par for the course.

Quick question @Mt. Yukon and @Complex

I want to know can you do me a favor. Ask a few of your friends if they're familiar with the Clark and RG3 situation.

If they are, ask them do they believe that Ryan broke man law by mentioning the race of RG3's wife into the discussion?

And let us know their responses.

Your issue is Ryan potentially being a hypocrite or it diminishes the point because of his history.

While I see your point, I view it slightly differently given the information we know or being alleged. Ryan having kids with a White woman puts him in the perfect place to call out RG3. Dr. Umar for example would be seen as making the comments from a place of hate or disapproval strictly due to RG3s wife being White. Dr.Umar saying anything would have no merit given his pro Black stance especially on interracial dating. Again, im assuming Ryan has never put down Black women while uplifting White women at thier expense. I don't even believe he is being a hypocrite given the issue he brought up wasn't relationships with White women but fetishizing them. Given Ryan's words about RG3s wife being more than the color of her skin, says he didn't have kids with a White woman purely based on that. If you going to take advice from someone, wouldn't you be more open to hearing from the person with the same or very similar experience? Yes, anyone who wanted to disagree with Ryan would go to the low hanging fruit. Most people would likely value his opinion of RG3 more knowing Ryan's dating history. It takes the discussion off Ryan potentially being a bigot ( or whatever) and focus on RG3 weird behavior with White women.

Now if Ryan was off some Dr.Umar shit ( no snow bunnies), I could see your point. Im aware of what you are talking about and we've seen the joke in movies like Don't be a Menace While Drinking your Juice in the Hood. The super Pro Black guy who dates White woman. Even in those extremes, they aren't disrespecting Black women usually. It just surprises people that these types would be dating White woman especially while preaching about Black love or Black family structure. Amongst Black people though, Coon trumps hypocrite.

Did Ryan attack or insult RGIII's wife?

What specifically did Ryan say that was untrue, meant to demean or cause harm to RGIII's wife/ family?

This is a case of RGIII playing victim and riding the Karen wave against RC. Most men know exactly why Ryan said what he said and have no issues with how he said it.

There was no ill intent towards her at all.

All this "backlash," imo is much ado about nothing.

How you come to the conclusion that Angel Reese hates CC because of how Reese reacted to the hard foul committed by CC is a damn reach and stretch. All of this allows RG the cover to ignore such a damn asinine comment. The mfkr said he KNOWS Reese hates her. He Knows the mentality of a 23 yr old black female basketball player...... smh.
