Styles are cyclical throughout time. It’s just takes one person to pull if off then everybody is gonna be rocking a jeri curl. If you're over 40 years old I suspect 80% of the people on this board had jeri curls or at least some version or variation of it. So why the hate for jeri curl lol. Why not embrace it instead lol. That hairstyle defined the early to mid 80's. When you think fashion from the early to mid 80s, you automatically think jeri curl.

Objectively speaking it does look good on the guy in the video, though.

Yeah the Jeri Curl was more expensive because you had to go to the hairdresser to get it done. We were poor so we could only afford the S Curl in the box lol.

80 percent? Yes there were some people that had Jeri curl but it was nowhere 80 percent of nigs rocking that shit.. the most common haircut has always been the basic low cut Cesar.. flattops had a big run but no way was that Jeri curl shit dominant amongst men from parts I came from.. no I never had a fucking Jeri curl or ever wanted that shit
 
Im surprised it hasn't already, every other style done came back and went.
The flat top,the braids,afro,dreads,waves. Probably only the baldie hasn't besides the curl.

Dude is wearing a piece tho, that ain't his hair.
 
I do remember those "wet" curly styles kinda coming back in the mid-90s and early 2000s.

It just didn't have the mullet look of the 80s. I'm thinking something similar to Ginuwine in the late 90s.

Well West coast dudes rocked the Jeri Curl well into the 90's, remember Cube with his Jeri Curl, Easy E too.. Lol

I think these stank wigs and lashes women wear will be looked at like we do jheri curls. Corny and dumb looking as fuck, but in style.
 
While we laughing, trends come and go and I wouldn't be surprised if kids bring the Jheri Curl back. Baggy pant came back, afros came back, bell bottoms came back, mullets came back with a vengence(lol) so this is all par for the course.

Cube and Eazy got rid of the jheri curls by '93.

Eazy was wearing his hair in afros and braids, similar to Bone Thugs, by the end of his life.
