Has anyone taken a Rocky Mountaineer US rail journeys?

In the USA, the Rocky Mountaineer only has one rail route, which travels between Moab, Utah, and Denver, Colorado. There is an overnight stop in Glenwood Springs. In Canada, the Rocky Mountaineer has three routes through the Canadian Rockies, between British Columbia and Alberta.

A while back, the railways were offering free or super discounted trips cross country to writers and artists that were willing to document their journey. I'm pretty sure it was a promotional thing, but if I had been any more fluid and mobile at the time, I would have seriously thought about it. A low stress, casual train ride sounds like fun.
