Kendrick Lamar disses Drake & J Cole on Metro Boomin & Futures Album/ Rick Ross Responds/ Kanye Responds/Kendrick Responds 4X / Drake Responds 3X

I think this is what it was for me...

Video aside, the song itself is just beautiful with outstanding vocals... and it brings back those childhood memories like he said, of the song/artist blasting thru speakers at your house as a kid growing up. Drake could never do that because that's not his CULTURE and it's the reason this battle was so one-sided.

Music like this shows just how interwoven the black experience is and how important music was to us in that experience... because i can almost guarantee that everybody on this board or in this thread at least can relate to hearing certain songs being played by our parents as a kid...

if i sing the words "IN MY MIND..." we all know what song that is... and if you baffled at first I can say 2 more words and I promise you the light bulb will go off

The childhood memories shit is true. I drove my pop to his favorite food spot, this Amish smorgasbord out near Lancaster (Shady Maple). LUTHER played during the car ride up, and I said how every time I hear Luther it reminds me of car rides with him. Sunday nights he used to drive me back to my mom's house, and the WDAS quiet storm would be playing the entire ride. I hated it at first when I was young because I wanted to hear Tribe or Cube or some shit. And he listened to them too, but he said Sunday nights were for R&B. But now I have such a love for Luther, and Stephanie Mills, Patti, Teena Marie, EW&F. On the way back, "Love Don't Love Nobody" by The Spinners came on, and we both sang it, loud and most likely off-key. "You don't know nothing about this, son!" Actually, I do, Pop. Because of you.

Bro that's what I'm saying, right there... you in Philly I'm in Houston, thousands of miles apart, and the culture ties us together with shared experiences like this.

I think Drake tried to tap this in his Nokia video but his obsession with being a troll ended up making him release one of the most boring and unoriginal videos that's come out in a while... and nostalgia for the late 80s/early 90s could have easily made that video an instant classic

The trolling is getting old. There's no need for it. Just be dope.

This dude so corny...

Adin Ross: "Do you like watermelon or no?"

Then the clip ends...... if Drake didn't at least give him the side eye or a stern look, .......

"Everything they say about (him) is true!"

That is sooo wild and flagrant.......

Sn: this mfkr was on AR's stream and called AK?!! But will NEVER be on AK's actual stream....... wow!!
