2024 OT: $190,576.92
Fuck them all and their bloated salaries. How about giving that to teachers who really make a difference. We ass backwards.
Yes, I did. My wife best friend's husband makes 190k year mainly in overtime. He works in one of those rich suburbs of DC.
sorry...but a good cop is worth that amount....
It's a crazy ass job with a lot of risk.
How is a cop worth that amount just standing around? He's not our solving crimes, protecting folks etc. He's simply standing around more than likely zoned out or looking at phone.sorry...but a good cop is worth that amount....
It's a crazy ass job with a lot of risk.
Firemen, cops, and paramedics deserve what they make.
They see the worst in people and have to control/interact with them.
Soldiers need pay raises.
Politicians and bureaucrats need pay cuts.
That's how they (almost) single highhandedly bankrupted Oakland, and even know they're holding the city hostage over even thoughts of some kind of overtime regulation.
Def a hater. The guy filming is a hater. Btw...for the cop to make that much in OT, he must work damn near everyday.
Def a hater.
Go become a cop and stand there too, if it bothers you that much

This is the scam.Oakland Police is is short staffed so they have to pay overtime to fully staff their department. If they don't pay overtime, then they won't have enough cops on the street. Also, some of their overtime is paid by private companies who contract with them for security. CVS and Home Depot are two examples.
Cancel the union contract like Donald Trump has done TSA’s union contractThat's how they (almost) single handedly bankrupted Oakland, and even know they're holding the city hostage over even thoughts of some kind of overtime regulation.
This is the scam.
I knew a cop in the late 1990's who was making 145k a year. Since then cops are making even more money. I know a CO making 160k a year. His boss makes about 300k a year. On an average it costs 500k a year per inmate on Rikers Island. I remember back in the late 1990's when that number was closer to 67k a year. Fact remains crime pays when you work in law enforcement in NYC.Man, I dated a cop. She made 120k one year and her base salary is 64k. C.O.s can do it too. No one wants to work that job so they have to approve overtime.
