my problem with these arguments is these guys be thinking the wheel was just invented. Like the players before these guys were never compared lol. Like Kobe wasn’t compared to MJ. Or that they didn’t have all these Baby MJs and Baby Shaqs.

It’s some shit I’m not fan of myself like guys having to “chase rings” in order for validation. So I can kind of get the argument he’s making but the product ain’t good. Basketball sucks to watch and nobody wants to admit it’s because of analytics. Sports’s especially NBA has allows nerds and statisticians as well as gambling kill their product.

Frye and the twitter poster both hit the nail on the head. And the crazy thing is, how often do we see this in other major sports? Not often. Folks just watch the games that are being played currently and talk about that. I know that this is just one thread on BGOL(so not a big sample size) but this thread is a good example of how people talk about the NBA. When there’s actual games being played, it’s fucking dead in here. But when there’s talks about “Who’s The GOAT” or player movement or anything that’s not about the play on the court, it gets popping in here.
Same with all the media and social media out there. Like why the fuck is Austin Reaves even speaking about Jordan when im sure he never saw him play? Because the media asked him to compare LeBron and Jordan. Cut that shit bruh. It’s annoying. Again, nobody gives a fuck.
It's too late. You guys spent over a decade diminishing and hating on some of the greatest players to ever play so Michael Jordan and Vanessa Bryant can get their shoe money. MJ and Kobe are the face of old head fuckery and mythology. Their legacies are going to take the biggest hit going forward, already have. Nobody told their dumbass fans to troll and pit their brands against the most popular and greatest player of all time. Just dumb. The idea was Bron and his fans don't matter and can't hurt us. I know BGOL doesn't want to believe this, but in real life, LeBron James is the most popular and celebrated NBA player by a country mile. It's not close. There hasn't been an arena he been in yet this year where him or his son have been booed. I don't check ticket prices, but I'm sure nosebleeds were well over $100 a pop last night. Players that are hated don't draw that kind of gate.
