I was all for more player empowerment about 10 years ago, but since they've had it, a large % of these players have shown to be selfish and don't care about the league. The optics are terrible. Ben Simmons stealing $200 million, Jimmy under contract for 2 more years and sabotaging his own team to get out, Kawhi has been on vacation with pay for about 2 yrs, etc...I could go on all day. They're fuckin up the product for future hoopers.
I think the bigger the bag gets, the greater the chance of partially guaranteed deals. These teams aren't gonna get locked into paying someone 70 mil annually without a backdoor to escape it. And they'll have niggas like Ben Simmons to thank for it.

That's a real dilemma. Sit on an NBA bench with your brother and make guaranteed good money(and live that lifestyle), but barely playing, or go back to Europe and dominating on the cheap.
