I was lurking on BGOL in the late nineties at the Library of Congress computers then after being away 20+ years was glad this was still here during Covid and have never looked back(except to finish thread stories).

Anyway if there was a way to imbed floating live feeds in threads, new positive blood will come in.

BTW can bluesky & mastidon links be imbeded?
 
I've been on here since 99 and jumped between this an OnProbation. BGOL is the only forum that has stayed around, stayed consistent and therefore kept me coming back. The board started not having new members when we had to pay the subscription. I think that weeded out a lot of folks.

I honestly love this place because it is one of the only places you can be anonymous and not be doxxed all over the place (unless you're that reckless). I'm all about sharing and getting information and I don't see that anywhere else.
 
@HNIC you ever wonder what if Mark Robinson had been posting his shit here instead of on Nude Africa?

Board would have gotten unprecedented attention-- Maybe that would bring some negative but it would have also brought some positives, like the new blood the OP was talking about.

I’ve been a member of 2 large forums for years. BGOL and Boxden. At one time they were equally as large. Boxden has grown and BGOL has been slowly dying (even HNIC has admitted so).

The reason (IMO) for that is because Boxden constantly has new members. There’s always a younger generation signing up. Meanwhile, BGOL keeps getting older with no fresh blood. Me ,Shaddy and Chiyo are the youngest niggas up here and we are in our late 30s

I mean porn is basically dead our type of born like west coast productions is long gone it's a whole new game now. White acceptance amd coins and everyone trying to caught a lick.

The same conservation are here daily not much have changed I think America hasn't changed and it's apparently pretty obvious these days. Bgol is known but the young dudes on TikTok and Instagram.

I really want to know what happens once the podcast goes and people just start doing more in the real words because these days people get money just targeting people with issues.

But I don't thinknits a bgol issue we're a older crowd smd. Nothing wrong with that but this social media thing is just. Escape from real life. I think k bgol will probably be around longer than alot of other forums.

I like the idea of moving content to sub-forums and having sub-forums be more robust repositories while the main board is like the mothership where most content is birthed.

A website that I used to visit just abruptly shut down after 30 years. All the tech review sites are on YouTube now. They wanted to get out of the way of the next generation and allow them to do their thing. This might be the fate of BGOL.

That is great, their money is not worth it with all the strings attached. It is also dangerous if you post things controversial.

It’s a troll site now, but back in the day, it had everything this place had. It was basically a younger version
But Boxden has always been growing
The original site owner cashed out a few years ago for a couple of million
