That she just happens to be doing this in the same year as the overall scoring record is broken suggests that this is not just about her greatness but that it is also something about the overall WNBA. It seems scoring is up and this is a part of a wave.

The rebounding record has been broken twice this season!



The number of games played by WNBA teams has steadily increased since the initial 28-game schedule in the inaugural season; for most of the league's history, teams played 34 games before the schedule was expanded to 36 games in 2022 and 40 games in 2023.​

These records come with more of an asterisk than the baseball steroids era. We need to talk about per game averages for players who played a certain percentage of eligible games. Cumulative numbers mean nothing.

She's getting a crazy push! Told us that she was injured and faked an injury because she wasn't winning rookie of the year and her team wasn't making the playoffs.

Injured but Sports Illustrated wants to focus on and praise her for off the court non-basketball activities?

Again anyone besides Princess Carlton get any attention and it’s an issue.
But even reached our agreement and understanding on opinions. It just gets highlighted more in this thread.
I guess if anybody really had the time and fandom we could pull all these worthless tweets, etc out about our favorite plays like y’all do.
I was a huge griner fan because I thought she had next after Candace. Now it’s copper for me. Kelsey is just my plain Jane white girl crush. She puts up points and is effective

Unpopular opinion incoming.....
AR doesn't come across to me as LOVING basketball. She doesn't strike me as a "ball is life" person. I believe she plays because she talented, but it's more for the opportunities outside of basketball. She wants to be a star, but not necessarily for basketball. That said, I feel the same way about a few figures in other sports. This opinion is not exclusive to Angel Reese.
