This is not a Tyler Perry production. No lame ass, lazy, uninspired writing. It's good, and good acting... From everybody, except one dude, he sucks. You'll notice him right away, but he's not a main character.
The writing is natural and not predictable, and the interactions are natural and not forced. It has the feel of a much better done scandal without the white boyfriend, and the overwhelming majority of the cast is black. It's the best black show since Insecure (also, the music is on point)
Also black, the directors, the writers, and the showrunners. It's just on season 2 so you've got about 12 episodes before you catch up to waiting to watch an episode once a week.
Kerry Washington is one of the executive producers and also directed the first episode. The star of the show is fine as hell, just a pretty sister, and she sharp as fuck and on her shit.
Also, see if you recognize the star's mother. No hints. I was shocked, because I haven't seen her as an actress in years. But I know her through her relatives
