@ViCiouS tell me if I’m wrong…All streaming is is digital radio play; that’s it! We as a consumer get to decide which music we want to hear from a digital radio. So it should be considered radio play. It’s not sells. It does a disservice to an artist that actually sells records and albums. And I think one of the reason why it’s not is because it’s a way to lower the income of artist. I think it affects their publishing and other forms of income. That’s why I don’t wanna hear that Drake and Micheal Jackson shit!! And that’s why kdot said I’m going digital and physical on all youll ehh … another subliminal Drake diss lol. I think that was on element. Oh and he keeps subliminal disses big Sean lol lol
yeah - you got the gist of it@ViCiouS tell me if I’m wrong…
Is it a way for these companies not to pay publishing and other royalties to these artists??yeah - you got the gist of it
More Drake lies debunked.
But why do I sense that his wife is leaning towards some feminist borderline lesbian shit?
nah -Is it a way for these companies not to pay publishing and other royalties to these artists??
Ok I understand that and it makes sense. So how were the labels benefiting from radio play then? And how come the writers artist producers etc allow them this to happen? The last is probably stupid question on my part…nah -
if they classified streams like radio then the artists /writers n producers would get performance royalties and the labels would get almost nothing
the current scheme is a way the labels negotiated with the streamers to get paid - even though it fucks the artists
then later they restructured to cut in the top superstars on the profit share
the benefit was marketing promotion back when radio was where most first heard a new songOk I understand that and it makes sense. So how were the labels benefiting from radio play then?
