That seems to be the way if the Internet and the "algorithm" hot takes, negativity and hate bait draw engagement, and that's really all most of these people care about. It's why Skip and Stephan a still have jobs.

It's almost always a vocal minority, so you're right. Definitely seen more than one person but they're mostly internet nobody's lol still the fact that it's being brought up and how people react to her being fouled is hilarious to me.

I'm not a CC fan, but I don't despise her either. I don't have an issue with her fandom. That's a part of being a well known collegiate or pro athlete. Some of them are gonna be over the top and say stuff we may totally disagree with. And yes..many of them took an interest in her, because she is white and relatable for them. I have no issue with none of that. I think it's to be expected. No different than Asian Americans being excited about Yao Ming or the Jeremy Lin Experience.

I've seen similar things with Christian McCaffery, Luka, Jokic. And let’s not forget Larry Bird. All white athletes that have been successful in mostly black dominated sports. All got push back for being overhyped early in their careers. Not saying CC will reach their level of success in the WNBA. Let’s all just let things play out. Everyone seem a bit hyper aggressive. I can understand some of it, because she is a rookie. Diana Taurasi said should expect to be challenged.

And you prob right about the media push. That's just all part of her being one of the most known female athletes coming out of college. Reese has also cashed in. Not as much as CC. But she definitely doing well for her self. JuJu will be coming soon.

This may not be popular opinion. But I want to see all the new ladies succeed. That includes CC and Reese..it makes for much more interesting league. WNBA need as many stars as possible. We need people to root for and against. The better the stars, the more invested people are in the sport.

When you find out limited charters started out last season and were set to began being fully implemented this season but they’re on Charters because of the CAC….

Meh.... I'm watching and I'm not NASCAR. I get what you mean though, but hose people will be in and out soon enough. The biggest thing that's happening is people that would've never watched are watching and really enjoying the product and we will stick around for the long haul.
