See this is the shit I have a problem with.
I don't know whether there's any accuracy to this or not but looking at her demeanor and how she seemingly gets a rise just discussing the possibility of #Metoo-ing this brother is concerning.
It's very disingenuous for these people to do shit like this acting as if the intent is to expose predators and protect people when in reality it's just done for the entertainment and enjoyment of destroying someone for entertainment.
I'm glad people are finally starting to speak the truth on this.
I'm a genuine Pac fan who has a lot of respect for that brother but as a grown ass man I can't sit and act like Hit em Up was right or justifiable especially considering the fact that we now know every reason he used to shit on the people on this song was untrue.
Real shit. Faith didn't deserve that shit and what's even more fucked up is people still shit in her and have real disdain for her based off of this record. And honestly I do think she fucked Pac but that doesn't in any way justify him airing her out and disrespecting her like that.
And we always forget about Lil Kim who has openly spoken about how insecure and unattractive she felt her whole life (which is evident now with all of the plastic surgery she's had.)
Imagine how humiliating and demoralizing it was for her to be so new to stardom and trying to build your brand/confidence before releasing your first record only to be met with a personal/unwarranted attack on you by the most popular rapper of that year.
100%
I already had a lot of respect for J. Cole but I'm genuinely proud of that brother for removing himself from this mess and apologizing even though he was obviously going to be ridiculed for it.
That's a false narrative spun after the fact which people use to justify those people being shit on.
Biggie was not Pac's enemy and had nothing to do with the Quad shooting. In fact the shooting was carried out by or on behalf of the Brooklyn niggas that Pac was running with not Biggie.
That picture was taken before any of this became public knowledge while he was recording Akk Eyez on Me so there wouldn't have been any reason for her to think Pac had any real hatred for Biggie.
I do believe she fucked Pac but let's be real she and Biggie were apparently cheating on each other and were two people that made an impulsive decision to get married when neither were ready. Biggie was even foul enough to have his side chick, Lil Kim, around his wife without her realizing they were fucking.
So the justification for doing her dirty like that in that song is bogus and it's fucked up that the damage to her career/reputation has continued long after both Pac and Big passed.
This is actually brilliant.
He needs to not respond, let this die down and then begin the damage control by appealing to the masses as opposed to the internet or hip hop heads who love this drama and low key want tk see him take some L's.
And as you said, with regards to the grooming allegations and plastic surgery shit, he should lean into them and show he can laugh at himself (as long as they are only allegations and not true in any way.)
He could even have some skits posted to Instagram of him and his "daughter" but continually film with different looking 11 year old girls to play up the fact that he wouldn't even notice the difference. (I swear if this idea ends up somewhere I better see a check.)
I totally agree with him on the sentiment although I think it's dishonest to say that both of those brothers didn't demonstrate and represent their skills in this exchange and to note this as a demonstration of hip hop being dead instead of the bullshit gang/street infiltration (literally and on record), drug kingpin rapping, womanizing and Pimp glorification, etc. is very dishonest.
