This is actually a rare professional response from TK. The real story here is Goldberg wanted TK to give him the bag and TK told him to kick rocks. Now all of a sudden AEW is too cheesy for Goldberg. 
Cody did a promo on both RAW and Smackdown after winning the championship at WM.
There's no reason Swerve couldn't have done the same.
Dynamite is the first show after your PPV and your first chance to make an impression with the viewers.
You always have the new babyface champion cut a promo thanking the fans o the show immediately after.
More botched booking by TK and AEW thinking they're smarter than they are.

That’s what I’m saying….because if it was Ospreay I bet he would’ve had him do promos to open up your show. Validate your champ because you already got your most popular wrestler holding a secondary title and probably would have him main event with that title.

Where's the fumble? They're up against the NBA/NHL playoffs right now. Dynamite was aired during the playoffs. Collision was aired after. Why would I waste a celebration (because they're can only be one) promo on a show with fewer people watching than a show with a strong NBA lead in?
I agree!!..Last week Collision was a good show!!...That match with Swerve vs Claudio was good!!..Also, Toni Storm vs Ana Jay was nice as well...Not to mention, The Rampage show after was ok as well....The parking lot match with Trent vs Chuck was a good match!!...
Both Collision and Rampage was pretty good this past weekend!!..

Yes, there's a tradition of black champs being mishandled but are you gonna tell me having Swerve open up Dynamite with a promo would've made any difference in the ratings? If anything they gave him a better chance to succeed by having him give that promo on Collision when more people were watching. Nobody is gonna blame Swerve's reign for low ratings when you're facing heavy competition and if someone does they're being disingenuous.
Wouldn't have made a difference with the ratings, as AEW fans don't care about ratings, but the optics of giving Jericho and others a spotlight over the promotions top champion on the first TV show after a PPV don't look right.
Imagine having Cody show up on Smackdown the following Friday after Mania instead of having him show up on Raw the night after. It would have been a dumb ass decision and folks all over would have criticized WWE for not having Cody on Raw, even though the Raw champion, Priest, was on the show too.
Swerve should have been given a promo/spotlight on their first show post PPV, regardless of the competition of the night.
Let's not act like Swerve wasn't on the show. He was ON THE SHOW he just didn't cut a promo. Hell, he wrestled in the first match when the show is at it's most watched point. He got the spotlight. Jericho, Toni Storm, Willow, Moxley, etc appeared on the show when the viewership dropped.
That's how I know that AEW shit run too deep because now people pretending like black champs ain't been done wrong in the past lol....but like you said regardless of race its a bad look and yeah I don' tthink they would've done it with Ospreay. Even Jericho‘s FTW Championship win got a segment…..but Swerve can’t?
Also, let’s also highlight Moxley defending a belt, from another company, in the main event against a guy that had ZERO chance of winning said belt.

You’re correct, had it been Ospreay or any other CAC, TK would have made a big deal of having his new champion featured in the spotlight on some celebratory segment.
Swerve? Nah, you get to wrestle a match against some random dude to open the show. Not the main event, not the top of the second hour…no, here open the show and let’s not even acknowledge your championship win.
Oh for sure. They forced the title on him.....its similar to when Kofi got it. I don't feel Swerve will hold it long....not too short because they don't want to be the company that's doing the black champ wrong for PR purposes....but they know that title is just Ospreay's its just a matter of when. And that's ok. I figured as much when the put the title on Swerve. I just hope he's a strong champ and booked right. And they fumbling out the gate with basic shit. Ospreay already gives off main event vibes and that he's the best wrestler in the company... as a booker who just put a title on Swerve I would be booking him far different than they are.
It's not like Swerve wasn't on the show. He wrestled, it's like a wedding after vows and at the start of the reception you announce the bride and groom. You don't have them come out first dance cut the cake and then announce them later in the night. The very next time the public sees Swerve he should be presented as your world champion and not second fiddle to Orange Cassidy and crew.
We all know the title is Osprey but he should work programs with Okada, Hangman, Jay White, Samoa Joe and finally Omega before he's awarded world title shot against Swerve
We will be lucky if he holds the title until Wembley, and if he does hold it that long, Osprey is taking it from him.
No because I look at the WHOLE picture and don't accept things at face value. If he wasn't given a promo segment there must have been a reason for it and now we know the reason and it paid off for them with a ratings boost for "Collision".

All buried later in the show when the viewership went down.
The main event is when viewership is near it's lowest. That's why they have the AEW World Champion wrestling in the first match when viewership is at it's highest.
They're not gonna feed Ospreay all those names before facing Swerve. That's not practical.
The boost didn’t come because of him waiting to do a promo though. It came from the NbA lead in.
