And he is older and has the gravitas to be a teacher mentor veteran perfect "father" to Lion-o. Fight choreography will be tight. The acting isn't TOP NOTCH but I could see him hyper committed to a role of this magnitude.
That man was in just a few minutes of Dark Knight and people remember it fondly till this day. THAT is screen presence.

Lion-0 should be teens to 20s
oldest cast member should be no older 65
a brit should be cast as mumra
cheetara tygra should be 30s and athletic - maybe Sofia Boutella and Alex Skaarsguard or Idris Elba
and there needs to be a different director than the one currently attached

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is a really good actor only problem is I haven't seen him execute high level fight choreography

I got faith in Yahya.
I think the right director or studio? He could definitely do it.
He was wasted in Aquaman. He killed in Watchman. He can act. And physically looks the part. With legit training he could pull it off
You are way off with Chiwetel. That man been hard-core since Firefly. Plus Dr. Strange, redbelt and the old guard. He could definitely do that role justice.

Guy would also be good for Destro in a GI Joe adaptation,with his voice..i remember when he was interviewed on G4 by Layla Kayleigh(i think it was her) and he was doing impressions of other actors,but when he spoke in his real voice she leaned back like

That man has been so dirty in this industry. His genius has been exploited real talk.
Makeup and Prosthetics.
Look how they do makeup for Star Wars, MCU and Star Trek.
Thundercats is a movie, so imagine the time dedicated when there are series that have characters in makeup/prosthetics.
If either Zack Snyder or JJ Abrams(him and his son are confessed fans) get mentioned,then pass
I’m familiar with his work.
He isn’t the right cat to do the role. He is a exceptional dramatic actor, just not a action guy with what this role needs. The visual plays a big part and Panthro in his animated version looks like a big bad mofo.
With Michael Jai White, cats automatically throw his name out when a new action role comes out.
When Disney had announced they were doing a “Black Panther” movie, cats immediate response was Michael Jai White. Michael hasn’t been cast in one MCU role as of today, so like I pointed out earlier, he must have some Red Flags.
Not one mofo gave Chadwick Bozeman a thought for Black Panther. Mofos doubted and expected the film to flop. Bozeman made that role his, no one questions it now. He visually looked the role and was believable.
The same when Disney announced Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, nobody thought he was good for the role. No one questions it now.
The actor who anyone least thinks is good for the role, majority of the time does the best job.
I chose Shemar earlier cuz he currently is doing SWAT which is action oriented. The visual of him as a action character fits well for the role.
Overall….they actually just need to do an open casting call and bring in new young talent instead of using the same old regular actors.
Speaking of BP Ryan Coogler could also be a potential Thundercats director..provided Michael B Jordan is Tygra
