This bullshit is a direct result from Trump and the Republicans. Biden tried to hire more tax agents but the Republicans water it down and also Trump tax policies fucked over a lot of people and Biden couldn’t change that because Republicans in the Senate blocked it when the Democrats had control over Congress. Poor white people are suffering really really bad but they would put up with the suffering to see Black people suffer worse. Vote for every Democrat you can this November.

You can't educate people. Just like the folks who say "some of us don't want to be homeowners , I rather rent and travel all the time". Then like you said donate but nooo folks don't learn to itemize. Hire a tax professional instead of them free shits and you'll do better.

We've now reached the point in time where those increases are starting to hit so people are seeing their taxes go up because the Republican president, Donald Trump, and a republican Congress change the tax laws to give the highest tax levels a cut that would be propped up by increasing taxes on the middle class.

The law retained the old structure of seven individual income tax brackets, but in most cases, it lowered the rates. The top rate fell from 39.6% to 37%, while the 33% bracket dropped to 32%, the 28% bracket to 24%, the 25% bracket to 22%, and the 15% bracket to 12%. The lowest bracket remained at 10%, and the 35% bracket was also unchanged.3 The income bands that the new rates applied to are lower, compared to 2018 brackets under current law, for the five highest brackets.

The changes are temporary, expiring after 2025, as is the case with most personal tax breaks included in the law. The tax cuts for individuals weren't permanent because 60 votes in the Senate were needed but the democrats wouldn't support it.

401K to a Roth. A good CPA understands all the tax laws.

This right here. When I was trying to do the 1040EZ I wasn't getting shit back. This year, I got $2500 back. My tax lady has been doing this for 30 years.

I just learned something from my tax lady. You can have up to but not exceeding 10% of your income as a charitable donation which can help your tax return.

So, If you make $60,000 year, you can claim up to $6000 without needing a receipt and without worrying about the IRS looking at you closely. This especially helps people who are in the upper tax brackets. The
