I have to disagree with you on this brother!!...People are watching and pay attention to AEW!!...The numbers and ratings might not be up as expected or they slack on storylines and the booking are messed up sometimes on their weekly shows but people is watching AEW!!...My thing is that you can't hate and talk bad about someone or something if you not pay attention to it or watch what that someone or something is doing!!..That's why I think people are watching AEW!!..
The BGOL fam on this thread knows I rolled with AEW and a fan cause I like their wrestling vibe they bring!!..I don't watch WWE no more and don't know what's going on over there but I don't hate on WWE and what they are doing over there....I always said that Wrestling is good when it's more than one successful Wrestling Company out there!!..My ol school heads that watch wrestling in the golden era of the 80's and 90's knows what I'm talking about!!..
Also, AEW PPV's from all last year of 2023 and this past ppv they had in Jan got nothing but good reviews and good ratings for their ppv's shows!!...
...You can't have that success if wrestling fans doesn't watch or attend your shows!!..Yes, their ppv's are packed and alot of them been sold out!!..AEW will be fine and people are watching it.....Also, Eddie Kingston is not a joke!!...He's a damn good wrestler!!..

People watch AEW. They're regularly in the top three of cable shows on Wednesday nights. This whole narrative that if you're not getting ratings like WWE (a company that's been around for 40 plus years) then nobody is watching is tribalist nonsense. AEW's ratings and gates are reflective of a 5 year company.
Again different styles. Trying to apply the metrics/guidelines of one wrestling style to others is ridiculous. Different styles emphasize different things. Instead of trying to fit everybody in one box expand your mind. This is the problem with a lot of WWE fans. They think wrestling should only be done one way. A very narrow minded way of thinking.
It's not your thing and let's just leave it at that. You don't speak for the masses or any other wrestling fan.

They've presented themselves as childish between the BTE stuff and a good amount of the stuff they've done on TV like their 1st heel turn where they became whiny goofs who superkick random announcers and other people that nobody gives 2 shits about.
They showed Chad Gable's finally when he faced Gunther and he lost so that's not an automatic thing. Sami's wife was also shown in the Roman Reigns match
Yep. No one is tuning in to see the Young Bucks. They'll tune in to see CM Punk's backstage incident involving one of the Young Bucks friends though....
I've never seen a tag team so over hyped by their fans in all of my time watching wrestling.

I'm talking specifically about what the Young Bucks are doing because it directly involves Jack Perry. What Edge was doing was just some typical rah rah shit. They did the same before with Moxley after Punk got suspended following the "All Out" incident with the Bucks.
Again, they are focusing attention on their main show to a guy who hasn't worked at the company since August.

Yeah but the amount of times the cut to her and involved her + Micheal Cole's bullshit "do you believe in miracles" crap and the entire announcing of that match all but gave it away. They did not do a good job, I was insanely disappointed. They made Gunther look weak and if I was any of the major stars it would no longer make sense for him to go to the next level against a Cody or whoever. Poorly executed from top to bottom.
I would have preferred Gunther keep beating Sammy until his wife ran into the ring and jumped on him and ended the match there with Gunther laughing at his near dead body and crying wife, then have him drop it to Sammy in an epic match at another event. Or something to that effect to really build it up, as it stands I don't think the match accomplished much, and squandered Gunthers run imo
Nobody in the family would see me out of that cave lol you'd have to book time with me. Throw in a PS5, series x, switch, and a toilet and fridge and may ass well call it a fallout shelter lol
The focus coming out of this will be on the rebuilding of Jack Perry. That's what his whole heel "Scapegoat" gimmick has been about since he popped up in New Japan. Kayfabe tearing up his AEW contract. Calling out TK for suspending him and all of that. They've been putting the peices in place well before the Punk interview.

I'm getting back into it now after a pretty long hiatus but wrestling and pokemon were my entire life(throw in boxing and mma and you basically know me lol) I even did the backyard wrestling thing as a young kid, we lit our friends on fire broke florescent tubes on each other, all that dumb bullshit lol then jackass came out and our stupidity went to a whole new level lol the thing that made me lose passion were matches just like that, the narrative was just so obvious that it took the joy right out of the match, way too many hints at what was going to happen, Just call the match as it's happening and try to not spoon feed what's going on to the audience like we're toddlers, That and the dawn of the super choreographed match where it's clear the wrestlers planned out every spot and move and they just perform it all back to back to back without letting the crowd react to what they've seen and not building any kind of tension or drama.
Glad to be back(always kept up and watched shoot interviews and podcast like the drive through ECT) but now I'm back deep in the trenches lol
Yesterday was my first wrestlemania in 20 years, after watching wrestling religiously since the NWA days in the 80’s. I got Peacock to watch soccer and saw that wrestlemania was streaming, so I said fuck it let me see what’s going on.
- The ladder match was fire but everything else was subpar to me. I guess you have to understand the storyline to get into it, but nothing grabbed my attention.
- Glad to see women wrestling has stepped up.
- Commentary was a 5/10
We all knew Sami was winning though. The announcing team didn't tip it off we knew it. Just like we know Cody will win tonight......at least I Think we know lol.
