Charlemagne: DEI is garbage

You’re a Republican. Of course you do.

You also think the voting rights act and anti Jim Crow laws are garbage.

I am not Republican. Statistically, how have Black folks benefited since the implementation of DEI programs? Have racist incidents decreased? Has there been increases in career advancement for Black folks. DEI programs is yet another example of CACs making meaningless solutions to racism that we haven’t asked for.

We have been asking for Reperations. Where is the progress on Reperations?

I agree. We may be the face of it, but definitely not benefiting from it (as usual).

You are a Republican. DEI has benefited a lot of people of color, especially Black people in America. White people are just getting mad because they no longer could make the grade. Even Rittenhouse guy who shot that protester severely flawed military exam and not allowed to apply for the position again

Complain, throw your hands up I am now a leader....no solutions. Rinse repeat.

Get your tv money Black man, but he really is no different than Candace Owens with his spin that is directly connected to Black male voting apathy.

Pay attention to Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee and North Carolina, these white folks are organized, on message and got damnit they VOTE.

I've dealt with DEI hires in my old workplace, ironically they were on the DEIJ (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice) committee and honestly, it felt like the people who were on those committees wouldn't even have job in the place I worked at if not for DEI.

I'm not saying Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is a bad thing, but forced DEI doesn't really bring the best to the workplace.

Workplaces absolutely should be more diverse, but it feels like a lot of companies and corporations are introducing these DEI initiatives to meet numbers more so than doing real work to make differences in the communities and populations they serve.

Lolz I noticed many of the DEI hires at the job were LGBTQ folks (men and women). None that I remember were straight (Black) males. Inclusion ya'll

Forcing anything is bad.

But history has shown us it is NECESSARY when dealing with these devils

they threw rocks at little kids going to school

Used hoses when we wanted to eat and ride a bus

Ask Jerry Jones apparently it was FUN to watch

We open our OWN business? They blow it up

We had to FORCE them to let us use water fountains, swim in pools, get health care, go to school, JUST LIVE...

We have to force these devils to do EVERYTHING

Even hire a Black football coach

So bro we HAVE to do this and NOT stop because we dealing with the worst.

And Lenard is a f(8cking hypocrite if you didn't notice the strategic timing of ALL his joint ventures with publishers and podcasts and TV were attached to Post Kaep and Post Floyd?

f*ck this guy

And AFTER we FORCE them?

They still do this

you CANNOT let up on these white folks

And Lenard thinks he gonna be protected?

Yeah OK

i just realized what charlemagne looks like, a tyrannosaurus rex.

a cross eyed tyrannosaurus rex

also I could actually understand every word he was speaking, in that tv studio.
unlike when he's on the breakfast show, on their crappy mics, sounding like
their talking thru sport socks, especially the property scammer redskin dude, he always
sounds like he's talking thru gaffer tape and pillows.

I don't disagree with you. Yes, we shouldn't let up, I was just sharing my experiences with DEI initiatives at my former place of work.

The practice is important but some times it rings hollow. Another example is whenever they read off a Land Acknowledgement Statement....I cringe whenever I hear that shit, even now at my place of work. During damn near every staff Zoom meeting, they acknowledged the land we work and live on as originally Native land....yet there aren't any programs, scholarships, nor any board members or staff persons of Native American descent.

Yes, it's important to acknowledge....but what are you actually doing to make a difference?

100% AGREE bro

If we weren't?

Would they be spending millions to stop it?

and send Lenard to help?

How many trash people working are simply white non diversity hires? Take 2 shit candidates, 1 white, 1 black. Who do you hire? Considered 30% of your staff already includes shitty people?

It's like Chris Rock saying he lives next to a dentist. Regular and sub par white people been getting handouts for years, now they want to complain? Foh!

correct me if im wrong but they're getting reparations right? and they own their own land? I could be wrong tho.....

No lies were told. That shit is just lip service that corporations pay to make you stop looking at the fact that they ain't changing shit. These motherfuckers coming with that "didn't earn it" shit, like they earned shit!

The problem is that people in power give jobs to whoever the fuck they want to. If you want to fix that, take them people's power. Nobody wants to do that.

My company had this Asian dude as the CEO. Dude pushed the company forward and would, a couple time a year, just break bread for the rank and file folks at the company. The problem was that he had a certain way of talking to folks at corporate headquarters and them yaps conspired to get his ass fired. The crazy thing is that when he got fired, they had this emergency conference call. I turned that shit on and it was 5 folks sitting at a table....ALL WHITE. I think 3 dudes and a woman. I'll give your ass 3 guesses as to who the CEO is now. Another white dude. So basically every CEO the company has ever had has been a white dude accept for the one they got fired. Yeah DEI....ok. :hmm:

I agree. We may be the face of it, but definitely not benefiting from it (as usual).
Here in California, we aren't even the face of it. CACs have created "intersectionality". "Intersectionality combines race, class, gender and LBGTQ and packages it all together to address diversity and inclusion. The DEI training that I received on my job was focused on Transgender issues. Charlemagne made some good points. Even in the videos, BLACK FOLKS were not clearly identified as the target of DEI initiatives. Statistically, the main group that benefitted from Affirmative Action was white women. Nowadays, the main people that benefit from DEI are LBGTQ and in tech, mainly Indian(from India) folks. Black folks are so quick to attack each other when we challenge initiatives conceived by CACs that we view as allies. Notice how none of the DEI supporters in this thread are able to clearly identify what Black folks have gained from DEI initiatives.

True but CAC's have been hiring their the lesser educated/qualified own since the dawn of time. Shrug

You cant honestly say DEI is garbage, yet cry on your radio show when affirmative action was canned.

DEI isnt perfect, but to say it hasnt brought black people into the table or benefitted them is simply not true. I have seen at copanies I have been in that DEI roles have led many people into jobs in tech who normally wouldnt have any look.

Im only in my early 30's, but I remember how unwelcoming corporate America was before they started caring anything about DEI. Its a much better change now at companies that take it serious.

In short, yes and no. Unless you're the head of a Casino, smoke shop or connected to a family that is, most Natives are poor as fuck.

It really depends on a lot of factors. If you're recognized as part of a nation, you will have some programs available to you and may be able to own land or a home on a reservation. Most Native American Indian people I've known don't live on the reservation though and don't receive any of the benefits (little as they are) unless they had political ties to those in charge or in power of their nation structure.
