Why Car Insurance is so expensive

They are gouging the hell out of us. And a lot of these Republicans insurance commissioners is letting them do it. I know the weather is getting fucked up, but still some of these prices are uncalled for.

I have had a 1,000 dollar deductible for the last 20 years or so. I had 500 for a long time and after a while, I said I don't get into accidents so I went to 1,000 and I've saved thousands, since switching.
I just called Progessive last night for a quote, my car is paid off, but I don't want just liability, but at this rate I'm about to raise my deductible or go to liability as well.

Shit is really ridiculous at this point.

I think imma call them this week and talk about that. I have not thought about raising the deductible..my premium is not that high n e way but if I can save some more money.. its always a plus!

I have mine at $500 and i'm about to change it to $1,000. My shit doubled the past two to three years.

Some of these companies that we buy goods or services lately, feels like getting robbed at gunpoint. :(

In GA, the deregulation of insurance by the GOP means that every time they gotta pay up or close shop, we're gonna feel it. Then when you talk to them: various factors in your area, bullshit....

Guys, the best thing you can do is: shop around.

You can change your insurance any day, don't have to wait until renewal.

Companies talk about loyalty discounts. It's usually better to get the lower upfront pricing as a new customer (your rate will likely go up at renewal so shop every 6 months at minimum)

Also if you're a Costco member, they get a nice discount through the Connect insurance from American Family. Get a quote with them.

I'm with them and got the best rates of my driving life.

American Family
Man.. I was with them for about 15 years.. never had a problem until last year.. they went up 200$ I asked my agent why n he was like they going up on everybody.. I said well I aint everybody...I paid it up front but 6 days later I went to state farm!! 200$ cheaper...back like I was...

Been with state farm since i was a teen under my parents policy. They have the lowest, and I've done some comparison shopping over the years. If your driving record is good, state farm is the way to go.

My insurance use to be $80-$90 I had $500 deductible for the last 5 years, this year it was just $200 before I got it down to $180 by doing some driver school instructional classes and professional driving courses. :smh:

Shit dont make no sense.

Don't forget it depends on your zip code as well. If you're in a majority Black area with high theft and accidents insurance comps will bust you over the head.

Changed my address from Jonesboro to moms Fayetteville saved somewhat. But when I moved to Utah my monthly reduced significantly. Kept my Utah addy when I moved to Baton Rouge..no need to explain why lol. Good looks on the Cosco

Bullshit how we don’t get a refund at the end of the year of 90% of what you pay. We just give them a lifetime payment even with no accidents. Fucking bullshit . You’ll end up paying more than the fucking car is worth for no reason
Lucrative business model along with day cares...yeah different topic though

After making their effeminate, beta male death threats...It is from people crying trying to chase me around and staging car crashes like a little bitch wasting my time on nonsense.

You better enjoy it because they raised my insurance by damn near 25%

State Farm is one of the leaders in this price gouging.. especially in Georgia

The cost to repair cars are expensive as shit and the big problem now is that everyone wants to call a lawyer for the most minor of accidents.

Last month I was at fault for barely tapping someone at the light when I looked down on my phone for a split second. The driver was cool and would have let it go but he was in a rental so we pulled over. There wasn't even a scratch on the bumper but he wanted to let the rental company & his insurance know.

His friend who was the passenger called the cops on some hoe shit. The cops end up giving me a ticket but later I found out the passenger got a lawyer for personal injury & tried to go after my insurance. I sent the pics of the driver's car & told my insurance I just tapped bro's car at less than 5 miles per hour. My insurance said that accident didn't warrant any personal injury or repairs.
