MJ and Kobe stan accounts with huge followings that normally post Bron slander 24/7, shifted their focus yesterday and only discussed their guys for a change (with a lot less views and engagement). Even Skip Bayless is tweeting and doing shows with a more measured tone to try to come off as a more serious journalist. Anti-intellectualism in basketball discourse is no longer "cool" and you can see fans who reveled in that for so long having to adjust.

I like the idea of the play-in tournament and the few years we had it has lead to some great games and moments, HOWEVER ....
The Hornets don't even have 20 wins and they could still (they probably won't tho) make the tournament.
There are still 4 teams technically in playoff contention despite not having 25 wins. If you can't scrap together at least 25 wins outta a 82 game season, then you shouldn't be allowed to participate in post season play.
I really wish the NBA operated it like the Fifa World Cup. If your team comes in last place this year, then next year you gotta be in the G League and the G League champion gets promoted to the main league.

The 10th seed in the East is Atlanta at 30-38. In order for Charlotte to make the play-in, they'd have to finish with at least 30 wins.
Looking at the past 10 seasons, the only time a 10 seed didn't have at least 30 wins was 2020 due to the shortened season because of covid. And they didn't participate in the play-in.
I'm not sure if it's mathematically possible for a team to finish 10th and have less than 25 wins if a full 82 game schedule is played.
