Stephen A Smith said “Eminem is better than Nas because Eminem’s been more consistent”

Fuller response...

I don't do top 10 list especially in art. Especially in rap.

Over 50 years and so many underground artists... ghostwriters, ghost producers, etc. Too many eras and criteria.

I don't respect it because it's all nonsensical.

But I know this... Em gets to sit at the legends table.

Our problem is we need to focus on the Post Malone who rape our culture then denounce it. Or the cookie cutter drill and lil rappers. All these girls doing the same hoe music. And these wack as rappers like 21 savage lil baby the baby etc being called greats and legends off nothing.

And these so called rap fans never REALLY SUPPORTING the "good" music they keep claiming to want.

And putting age limits on rap.

So no he isn't top 5

but neither is Erick Sermon or Nice and Smooth or Pharaoh Monch or Sauce Money..

but I'd stab you with a broken bottle if you said they wasn't the best ever.
Never looked at post Malone as a rapper. Just another white pop artist. Somehow people tried to connect him to black music

Nope...

that white boy came out as a rapper and tried DILIGENTLY to get all the hip hop cred he could only to flip the moment he inevitably crossed over and then promptly discredit the very sane hip hop audience that supported him.

Easily proven my brother.

I look at post Malone as the same way if I showed any black person a 311 amber song

Nobody would call 311 hip hop or rap or would say they are part of the culture.. even though 311 has said they been inspired by reggae sounds

I don’t know that much about ole boy or cared to , to tell you the truth.. only heard his name when he was popping , when I heard his music sounded like so fad white pop star shit. When I saw him look like a dirty cac. Only reason why he semi matter cause somebody I know use to make a lot of money off of him through their services. Like I said I never remotely looked at him as a rapper

I'm rolling with Nas
And Nas been more consistent

that aint even up for debate Jon Jon

I don't know why we giving Templeton the rat a voice in real hip hop discussions.

Because even THAT is a weird statement

Consistent doesn't equate to good.

If you drop a dope album every 3/4 years with a tour isn't that consistent too?

Steph A doing Stephen A shit again.

I Know the man doesn’t listen to Eminem but wants to talk about his “Consistency”

I guess if we were being fair, Em is definitely the bigger artist by far. Personally I prefer Nas as I can relate to more of what he is saying

One for the money
Two for pussy and foreign cars
Three for Alize, niggas deceased or behind bars
I rap divine, God
Check the prognosis, is it real, or showbiz?
My window faces shootouts, drug overdoses
Live amongst no roses, only the drama
For real, a nickel-plate is my fate, my medicine is the ganja
Here's my basis, my razor embraces many faces
You're telephone blown, black stitches or fat shoelaces
Peoples are petro, dramatic automatic .44 I let blow
And back down po-po when I'm vexed, so
My pen taps the paper then my brain's blank
I see dark streets, hustlin' brothers who keep the same rank
Pumpin' for somethin', some'll prosper, some fail
Judges hangin' niggas, uncorrect bails for direct sales
My intellect prevails from a hangin' cross with nails
I reinforce the frail with lyrics that's real
Word to Christ, a disciple of streets, trifle on beats
I decipher prophecies through a mic and say "Peace"
I hung around the older crews while they sling smack to dingbats
They spoke of Fat Cat, that nigga's name made bell rings, black
Some fiends scream about Supreme Team, a Jamaica Queens thing
Uptown was Alpo, son, heard he was kingpin
Yo, fuck, rap is real, watch the herbs stand still
Never talkin' to snakes, 'cause the words of man kill
True in the game, as long as blood is blue in my veins
I pour my Heineken brew to my deceased crew on memory lane
- Nas

saying this after Nas's King's DiseaseD/Magic run is stupid, even dumber than it would've been before that
