AEW could definitely do a better job at advertising, but the fact remains that there are no big mainstream stars on the roster right now and a lot of the talent AEW fans do like are not around right now.
MJF = out of action
Kenny Omega = out of action
Adam Cole = out of action
And the list goes on and on.
TK seems to think that everyone will just know when AEW comes to their town through Twitter and will immediately buy tickets.
Wrestling tickets ain't cheap and add to that having to drive, pay for parking, pay for food/drinks, pay for merch, etc. and it really adds up.
AEW has a die-hard fanbase but they can only spend but so much.
They "sold" around 2k tickets for tonight's show, but who knows how many of those people actually showed up.
"Sold" includes comp tickets and giveaways from radio, social media, etc.
When the show started tonight you could see the tight close-ups from the cameras and the dark lighting.
The lack of fans on the hard camera side is pretty common now in AEW.
The WrestleTix seating chart image and the fan photo image don’t look like they add up. Look at all the empty seats on the hard camera side in the fan photo, yet look at what would be the hard camera side on the seating chart along with the blue dots that should represent available seats….
Something ain’t right here.
They had signed Justin Fields' sister, Jaiden Fields, to one of those NIL deals last year. Wonder if she'll be showing up and training soon
AEW Dynamite thoughts . .
- Savannah, Georgia is a bad market to book a show in and it was reflected with the small crowd. Stay away from these small markets.
- There were audio issues early but improved as the show progressed. Still for a promotion that's 5 years old you shouldn't still be having audio issues.
- Hangman/ Penta El Zero Medio was a good opener. Samoa Joe on commentary was a plus.
- Trent Beretta/Wardlow was meh. No chemistry between these two. Fell flat for me. Wardlow is a lost cause at this point.
- The Acclaimed/Gates Of Agony was another meh match. I'm just so over the Acclaimed at this point and I hate that they have them teaming with Bullet Club Gold. The Bang Bang scissor gang? No, no, and no.
- Swerve/Jeff Hardy had a surprisingly good match.
Thunder Rosa/Red Velvet was cool. Rosa needs to go back to her old theme music. Velvet has been putting in work since her return. Just needs to stay healthy. Looks like Rosa will be going after Juila Hart in the future.
- Liked the Young Bucks segment. I love how they're leaning into the whole EVP stereotype gimmick.
- Loved the Toni Storm/Deonna Purrazzo segment. Toni was excellent as usual! TK is doing a good job with Deonna making her a credible threat to Toni. I'm really invested into this feud. The black and white and color split screen was also cool and added a nice touch to the presentation.
- Minoru Suzuki/EDGE was what I thought it would be. A nice hard hitting All Japan style match. My favorite EDGE match in AEW thus far.

So do you have to watch it live or can you stream whenever?
How long will each episode stay on the platform?
And Netflix don't release ratings numbers often so WWE should have 5 years to not worry about the day-to-day ratings race.
They need to go back to 2 hours tho.

I wonder if they move people around once they show up so that it looks "fuller" on TV.
Even WWE was known to do that a few years ago when their attendance numbers were down.
I would imagine you can stream whenever, just like any other Netflix show.
Not everyone is able to watch live on Monday nights especially when they're up against Monday Night Football, college football, etc.
I think there's a good chance they go back to 2 hours or even 2.5 hours since there are no commercials.
The days of the traditional TV ratings, which are incredibly flawed as is, are starting to die out.
With streaming you can get a much more accurate measure of how many people are watching your program.

She's the best thing going on AEW right now and is really the one example of an ex-WWE talent (other than Swerve and maybe Moxley) becoming more over in AEW by getting to be more creative and develop their character.

I really don't like this gimmick of hers.
It reminds me of the Broken Matt Hardy Impact gimmick from years ago. It worked for (for me) a little bit, but then just got outplayed and corny as it went on.
Damn, if that shit is true (no pun intended) Vince probably gonna be asked to step down from the board of directors and be gone from WWE for good.
