KEITH LEE SAYS BAY AREA FOOD IS TRASH...SEVERE FOOD POISONING

They put too much on this dude's every word. Now the bad food he had could have happened anywhere don't get it twisted. Food is always gonna come down to your taste being that is cooked properly. Been to small mom-and-pop spots with bad service and food was on point and been to fancy on-time joints with bad food all over the US. Those spots that served him undercooked bad food are outta pocket and should be shut down. I also heard that a lot of restaurants are paying for great reviews from these foodies. He was led wrong going to spots that were paying for reviews. He didn't try Chef Smelly, Southern Cafe, Y's Choice, Tease Southern Kitchen, or Rutha.

A popular food critic cut his food tour of California’s Bay Area short, slamming the city as “not a place for tourists right now” as residents were just trying to survive.
Keith Lee, who boasts over 15 million followers on TikTok, posts reviews of restaurants he tries across the country and often critiques how the businesses could do better.
He made his first stop at a small San Francisco restaurant on January 9 and another restaurant in Oakland, where he left a $2,500 tip before he cut the tour early.
“Unfortunately the Bay Area stop on the Keith family food tour is officially over, prematurely,” Lee said in his TikTok video which has been viewed over 2.4 million times.
Instead of the food, Lee directed his criticism at the issues plaguing the city following his first-hand experience.

“I truly don’t believe the Bay is truly for tourists right now, and that’s what I was, a tourist,” Lee said. “They are just focused on surviving, that business owners, the locals.”
“The amount of tents and living structures and burnt-out cars that we saw people living in was shocking to say the least. Just from the outside looking in, it don’t seem like it was much city interference.”

“As an outsider, I wish the city would step in. I don’t know if they have. I don’t know if they’ve been trying, but just from an outsider looking in, it don’t look like there was much city interference.”
Before his trip to the Bay Area, Lee was warned about the rampant crime and car break-ins, with some areas being compared to Gotham City.
Lee was also not too enthused about the food he had, saying he was underwhelmed by the actual food and the six-hour wait times he sometimes had to endure.
Lee also suffered a shellfish allergy during the trip.

The Detroit native said his family went to several restaurants and didn’t feel comfortable sharing his critiques about the eateries because he had no constructive thing to say, and feared his influence would hurt the business.
“I want to stress that it is not normal for us to go to restaurants, not like it and not post it. Any other time we ran into this situation, I’ve always had some kind of constructive thing to say. This is just different,” Lee said
Although he bashed his experience while in the city, he thanked and said he appreciated the people he met in his brief time there.

In a follow-up video, Lee clarified that he never felt unsafe in the areas he was in.
Lee, however, added that people, mostly tourists, shouldn’t be waiting outside for hours waiting to eat in the areas the restaurants are located in.
He also ripped into the operating hours for some of the places he visited that were in an area close to an airport and how they were closed for several days and only operated for six hours the days they were open.

Many people have shared Lee’s views of the homeless and safety in the Bay area, including JP Morgan’s CEO Jamie Dimon who recently declared San Francisco to be in “far worse shape than New York.”
I think every city, like every country, should be thinking about what is it that makes an attractive city, you know, its parks, its art, but it’s definitely safety,” Dimon told Fox. “Any city who doesn’t do a good job, it will lose its population.”

Mr. Lee a Gentleman. Although his expressions are fact not opinion, He did not want to defame and penalize businesses due to Dem Insanity beyond Their control. Mr. Lee sees the larger picture of the source of Bay Area downfall and writes eloquently and simply. From the Eyes of an Mr. Lee an American to the Ears of All Americans. Vote for Change 2024

I had to leave SF area due to what he describes! No one wants to see people all along the street homeless. There has been multi-million $$$$ spent on this problem (for decades) and it's only gotten worse. I miss CA, but not enough to go back right now...it's a disaster zone up & down the coast.

I live in the Bay Area and there are tons of homeless and other people who behave like the it’s the end of all things. It is not safe and you’re very likely to be a victim of some sort of crime upon arrival. This so-called food critic said the people were great but it isn’t safe here. If the people are so great, how could it be a thing other than great? As soon as I saw this guy wearing a mask for no reason, I knew this wasn’t a real food critic. The maskers wear a symbol that marks them as not normal and most likely a radical progressive.

This is what happens when the masses are trained to think that kindness equals silence and acceptance. If you report wrong doing - you are a karen. If you have any issues with drug addicts taking over the streets - you lack empathy. "Privileged" people who go to work and put their own family first should give their money and energy over to the system that does nothing for them in return. All of the tax payer funded programs support criminals, illegals and drug addicts. Meanwhile, you can feel great about how "kind and accepting" you are as your own mental health deteriorates from the constant worry and stress that comes with living in a hotbed of crime.

I have to go to San Fran for work soon. What’s some fire food spots?
One of my favorite steak houses

Black owned Louisiana spot

Hotel will be downtown. Near the wharf and all that.

Aight first off the only place you want to eat at the wharf is Boudin and Woodys crab house. SF staples are the clam chowder in the sourdough bread bowl (Boudin) and dungeness crab (Woodys). There is a small place I forget the name right near the front of the wharf, its a fish stand, you cant miss it, fish sandwich will feed 2 people.

The pier has plenty of places to eat, the one thing I would highly recommend is Roli Roti, rottissere food truck. Get there early on Saturday, the only day it is there. They open at 10 am, if you get there any time after 10:30 plan on spending an hour in line, slow cooked rotissere pork and insanely good. Its at pier 34 or 39. THIS IS A MUST TRY !!!

You will be close to little Italy and China town. Tonys Pizza Naploenta, if you like pizza, consistently rated a top 10 pizza joint in America, good Italian dishes also. Origainal joe's is directly across the street good Italian as well. Golden Boy pizza is shit in my opinion but you will see a line a block long in front of the store. Soto Mare is an Italian restaurant that focuses on seafood and another must try is the Cippino, but all the food is good there. Sport cafe is also good. The bars around that neighborhood are cool you will meet a lot of SF locals and people that were actually born and raised there. Its cheap as shit to drink too.

China town is right down Broadway. These are where all the mom and pop Chinese places are, now there are far more high end Chinese eaterys that are not in the neighborhood, but just about any place you stop in China town going to have good chinese food, and there are just too many to name.

From the wharf you will be close to the Marina District, Lombard and Union street. Check out Balboas Cafe, now I am not a big fan of the food, but there bar is alwasy crawling with pussy. Kui Shin Bo got great Japenese food, Ilcha if you want Korean. Breakfast and lunch and American shit try home plate.

These are all local to where you will be, not that SF is huge or anything, that is going to be your main sector, oh dont forget to hit up Molinaris Italian Deli, you will want the Luciano speocal with the basil spread.

Other places to try out of your neighborhood.

The Mission (all latin hispanic food can be found here)

El Farralito
Las Palmas
La Vacca birria

Also Lolinda up scale Argentinian restaurant. Great dinner spot, food is amazing gonna cost you a few bucks.

Gotta go get a fade, but ill post some more places when I get a chance so keep an eye on this thread or shoot me a DM of the neighborhoods that you will bi and I can give you more spots.

Damn! Appreciate it. I’ll look into some of these.

Here are a few places for different things. You can google them for addresses and directions. Like I said SF is small so an Uber ride shouldnt cost you more than $10-$15

Steak - House of Prime Rib
Steak - Alexanders
Steak - Epic (close to you on Embarcadero)
Steak - Harris Restaurant (all the beef there is farm raised on the Harris Ranch which is about 3 hours out of SF, exceptional food)
Meat - Espetus Churrascaria (Brazilian churrascaria like Fogo de Chao only 10X better)
French Soul food - Brendas Fench Soul food (Fried Chicken is crazy good )
Pasta - Flour + Water (Duck Raviolli, delicious)
Mixture - Zuni Cafe (menu is always changing, I go there for oysters, but the all the food is outstanding, they been in businees for like 30 years)
Mixture - Tommys Joint (Restaurant, bar, long tables like family style, you pick what you want to eat from a glass case and the cook loads your plate up, good lunch spot)
Thai - Nari (This is in Japantown, food is amazing)
Thai - Lers Ros Thai (I know the owner so I am kinda biased, the food is great though and the service is great as well)
Thai - House of Thai (In the Tenderloin so you will get a real deal experience of what the homeless situation in SF is really like)

More to come..

Bullshit ass excuse , crime lower than when they first opened here. They just want to cut back using crime as an excuse like all the retailers leaving.

So why is everything leaving. Im not even trying to be a smart ass. But companies just up and pulling out are doing it for a concrete tangible reason.

Who gives af what his opinion is? He was here less than a week and that’s supposed to rewrite my lifetime of knowledge and experiences? He went to TRASH locations on purpose and said that was his whole point , cuz all the places recommended were already known and popular. Fuck this dude. I know it’s popular to shit on the bay right now, but if u ain’t got nothin positive to say or ain’t tryna help, pleas STFU and stay yo goofy ass wherever the fuck u at. We don’t need u or want u in the bay.

Not a fan and didn't eat there anyway, that shit don't bother me. I can get a burger anywhere, in SF and a far better burger at that.
But, that pretty much solidifies exactly what he said about Oakland right now. This could easily become a chain incident where stores just keep closing because of the crime. Next thing you know you're living in a store desert like NW ATL used to be from Bankhead all the way to Bolton Rd. Then, you gotta drive 20 miles just to buy essential shit that you used to be able to get right around the corner. If I lived there i'd be concerned.

That's all these internet personalities. Folks act like they word is the gospel. Never seen a single video of his. He's yet another nigga I would have no idea who he was if not for BGOL
