Again, it sucks for you not to a lot of other people who pay attention to every detail of this movie. One More Time this movie is not for the stupid or close minded I am not trying to insult you. And I’m not trying to start any conspiracy, but I really think Obama was trying to tell us something in that movie that he can’t really say out loud.
And that’s why (I’m going to say this again) you have to watch this movie with a open mind and you cannot be a dummy

and it wasnt - it was a TERRIBLE movie - again full of unlikable characters, tortured unrealistic and stupid dialogue, and a narrative that eventually went nowhere.
just because it had references to dates and places involved in some way to slavery doesnt make it a good movie....

. You failed to understand my response. The reason I continued watching was because of how the movie sets the viewer for more and more. IMO, the ending was a letdown. And learn how to use a period to respond in complete sentences.

Ending was indeed ass. Had so much going for it. And for those who like Myha'la, you should definitely check out "Industry".

again the issues with this movie have othing to do with the easter eggs - and mind you "easter eggs " are supposed to enhance the film
you shouldnt have to understand the hidden meanings call backs or certain symbols in a film to understand the movie or make the movie a "good" movie. .... if someone has to do that - then its already a bad movie.
Alien is a good suspense film - a Horror movie - it accomplishes the mission it sets out to do which is to unsettle you with its imagery and narrative - thats what a suspense movie should do.
it has LOTS of hidden meanings in the dialogue and symbols in the film and has a whole commentary on human nature and commercialism ...but you dont have to know all that stuf in order to watch Alien .. because even being ignorant of those things about heirachies or the ethics and morality of making certain choices -
just on its own narrative and story flow its a good movie
Casablanca, Psycho, The Stepford Wives, Planet of the Apes ( the 70s one ) The Matrix, fucking Oppenheimer - all have subtexts to the narrative of their film ...but you dont have to know or understand those subtexts in order to entertained or for the film to be determined to be a good movie.

Aside from the actors who played their parts well, the writing was trash. The characters did not in any way act like normal people would act within such an event, like keeping vital information to themselves?
My biggest gripe was Mahershala Ali’s character acting all secretive in the beginning for no fucking reason. He knew he rented his home to those people, why play all coy with the family and audience? What came out of it? Absolutely, nothing.
The way the animals were acting (deer and flamingos) with no payoff?
It was just was mediocre film, the more I dissect it.

I'd say just a sign that something is notable is occurring in the world. Just like when Covid hit and everyone stopped going outside, nature started shifting into spaces they wouldn't normally be due to all the human traffic, also we've seen over the years how certain events cause wildlife to act out of the norm, like the mass congregation of crows over certain parking lots or the wild infestation of locusts that happened a while back.It was a good interesting movie. All in all, I liked the movie though, and I after a while I understood the friends ending and was fine with it, especially since you can predict what was going to happen anyway (all of them ending up in the bunker). Friends was an escape from the reality of what's going on in the world, so again it was ironic for me that while nuclear bombs are going off outside, here's rose sitting down watching her escape from reality that starts off with the lyrics "So no one told you life was going to be this way."
I find it funny that people keep saying that the characters didn't act the way normal people would act. And I think yall are basing it off of the perspective of how Y'ALL would act. Because if you haven't learned anything about being on this world for this long is that people don't do a lot of the shit that YOU would do in certain situations, most of the things people do are illogical and you can find many instances of this daily by just reading the news. So nothing, at least in my eyes, when it comes to the behavior of people is out of the realm of possibility. That's like saying a black person wouldn't do some things you've seen white people do in scary movies, but hell, take a scroll on twitter. There's many instances of black people being recorded doing the absolute illogical shit in scary moments; and the same with many other races.
I only watch Netflix series you gotta skip their movies.
