TV Discussion: David Oyelowo to Star in Bass Reeves Series w/ Dennis Quaid on Paramount+

Episodes 4 - 5

Watched these two this evening.

The series is giving some insight on Tulsa (Black Wall St.) origin.

And it’s going into the formation of the KKK.

Episode 5 touched on Juneteenth and some of the violence/horror that went with it.

The series is getting dark in tone revolving around historical events around the Black community in Reconstruction times.

Gonna let a couple episodes stack up again.

Series overall is playing well, Taylor Sheridan does not disappoint.

That crazy white boy Esau Pierce (Barry Pepper) they made him a Texas Ranger.

I can't see problems if they hired a brotha to play a brotha. IDGAF where he's from as long as he's not a sellout
and there's ALOT of sellouts playing roles that get passes. Therefore, I'm cool with this guy.

Meanwhile, the casting people absolutely nailed the wife and daughter roles.....
