I gotta get to Mayor of Kingstown at some point since I know 1 of the actresses in the cast personally but I just got so much of a backlog lol

It’s worth it. Good tension, volatility, and assortment of characters.

One of our running jokes each episode is counting the number of times Jeremy Renner’s character is visibly stressed, driving, and taking phone calls. It’s alot ... he always looks stressed to no end, lol.

Sweet Home
2020

6.5/10

This is a horror series that plays out more like a character drama.

It debuted around December of last year and I been watching about a episode a week.

This is a slow series. It's why I been watching about a episode a week.

It does have action and suspense in each episode, but it's not enough to hold you. This is not a series if you suffer from TV ADHD, if you suffer from it, you will not make it past episode one for sure.

The SFX and VFX is done well with the monsters and violence. The series looks godd and clean visually. The premise is interesting and it does play out well.

For the Thirsty, there are a couple of cuties in the series. No nudity or sexy outfits are worn, so don't get yourself excited.

If you looking for something to watch to stretch out over some time, this should do. There are 10 episodes that run for about 45min.

The series is from Korea and Netflix has it dubbed in English. Subtitles are used when signage is shown.

Synopsis

As humans turn into savage monsters, one troubled teenager and his neighbours fight to survive and to hold onto their humanity.

The series debuted back in 2020 and Season 2 is here.

A Murder at the End of the World

Definitely getting an Agatha Christie vibe from this series. FX was wise to show a preview of upcoming episodes because it made me more intrigued about whats really going on when a Steve Jobs like reclusive tech billionaire's invites several people to his remote secret retreat.
Always cool to see Clive Owen and very nice to see Joan Chen again.

For those looking for the latest episode of Billy the Kid which would have regularly aired a few days ago, looks like the current 2nd season is split into 2 parts. The next episode will air next year.

4 episodes have aired thus far from October 15th - November 5th.

The Wikipedia link lists the air dates for episodes 5 - 8 as TBA.

In January 2023, the series was renewed for a second season split into two parts. Part one premiered on MGM+ on October 15, 2023 while part two is set to premiere in 2024.[1]

Checked out episodes 4 & 5 of season 1 of Gangs of London, and episode 3 of Bass Reeves in recent days.

As well as episode 1 of season 3 of Upload. Recognized some of the shooting locations in Vancouver.

Interesting note for fans of the series REACHER.

Season 2 begins streaming in mid-December.

They're beginning filming for season 3 next week.

Reservation Dogs

8.5/10

Finished the first season the other day.

It was way better that what I expected.

The 4 main characters are done well, but the supporting characters were the most interesting.

The dwarf teen rappers are Pure Comedy running around on their bikes and are the neighborhood Gossip cats

The dead Indian from Little Big Horn is a damn fool with his crazy advice.

The Deer Lady is interesting. Hoping there is more of her in the 2nd season.

Kenny at the salvage yard who is a white boy, acting like he is Indian.

The mother, she definitely would get the business for sure. She thick in the waist. Looked her up and she has two sisters who co-star

Hope to get season 2 completed before the end of the year.

Got a lot of shit to get caught up on.

Reservation Dogs
Season 2 Final Season

7.5/10

Finished this up last night.

The series closed out the main characters storylines. Nothing spectacular happened in the final season.

The highlight was getting the backstory/origin of the Deer Lady.

We also got a throwback episode on Maximus with him as a teen in the 70s.

Elora found out who her father was and we got a good cameo of a well known actor.

I looked it up, the series ended with a possibility of going on, but the producers decided to end it while it was still on top.

Overall, it’s a good series, it’s different from everything else out there right now being it gives insight on the Native American culture/life in current day.

Another series that is doing a good job that you maybe interested in is “Dark Winds” on amc. It finished its 2nd season this summer and is approved for a 3rd.

Indeed - thought it was a solid 3rd and final season.

My mom's in town this weekend. Just went out for dinner with her & gonna update her flashdrive with an assortment of shows. 2 of her faves are Dark Winds and Reservation Dogs. Also gonna add Only Murders in the Building, The Gold, and Hijack. She'll have plenty of stuff to watch with her boyfriend over the winter months.

This looks good.

Definitely a must see if Giancarlo gonna star in it. And it looks to have a strong supporting cast.
