Lawmen Bass Reeves

Don't mess with a man's freedom !! David Oyelowo turns in another strong performance in this series about the first Black U.S. Marshal, Bass Reeves.
Such a moving and powerful first episode that doesn't pull any punches.
Great to see a handful of actors I haven't seen in awhile who also turn in great performances.

Onimusha

I didnt know this was based on a video game but im enjoying it mainly for the interesting characters but the plot is pretty basic. I like how stylish it is and the flashy animation
Definitely not as involving or on the upper level as Blue Eye Samurai is.

UFO
1970

Just found out all episodes of this Sci-Fi cult classic are up on tubi.

It had only one season with 26 episodes

Watching it with pops.

Won tickets to both of The Raid movies back in the day and he liked them. Reminded him that Gareth Evans is also involved here, lol.

Pops really likes the character Elliott. He asked me to replay the 1st pub fight scene to appreciate the choreography involved.

Pops>>>>>>>

I did the same thing with my kids. I told them this is mindless senseless violence but I want you to appreciate the artistry in the choreography and effects and physical movement on this ONE particular specific sequence

And don't tell your mother.

Nice.

Yeah ... he's a funny one to read. Sometimes you can't tell if he's liking something, or not. Other times he's fully engaged.

When I took him to the first The Raid movie the theater was packed. Everyone was amped up in there and pops was his usual quiet self in a larger public setting. I couldn't tell if he liked it - asked him afterward. He loved it - said it was a 9/10 for him and awe-inspiring.

He's liking the tension thus far in Gangs of London ... learning who the different characters are all about, and how everyone overlaps.

When I watched the crappy The Expendables 4 with him last month for a laugh I pointed out Tony Jaa was in the movie. Told him he needs to see the 2003 classic, ONG BAK. So we're gonna check that movie out next month. I bought a copy of the DVD for $2 at a Goodwill location years ago, lol. Showed him the trailer and said - "Watch the choreography here too!!"

Current rotation of shows = Gangs of London / Bass Reeves / Heels / Billy the Kid

Upcoming shows = Fargo / Reacher

Shows I need to circle back to eventually = Swarm / Wednesday / Justified / Lupin / You

Thanks for the intel about it. Sounds good.

The Serpent is a crime drama miniseries developed by Mammoth Screen for BBC One and Netflix. It is based on the 1976 arrest of Charles Sobhraj. It premiered on BBC One on New Year's Day in 2021.[1][2]

Yeah I watched this when it first came out way before they licensed to netflix, the real story of that serial killer dude is crazy and that was just a crazy period of time with hippie trail

Agreed. Plenty of "oh shit" moments in that series. That ominous feel was really well portrayed.

LOKI SEASON 2 FINALE

A special tribute to the Ground Hogs Day the movie !!
“We become what we repeatedly do.”
Basically ended the way i and many others thought it would
I enjoyed the dark and ominous visuals towards the end of the episode
I do hope to see some versions of Ravonna down the line
because her stories are pretty interesting in the comics.
It's going to be interesting to see what route Marvel/Disney takes
with everything that was established in this series especially with
the council of Kangs

Loki should have killed the bitch, so now the whole multiverse must suffer because female Loki had a bad childhood? :smh:
