Man says McDonald's is no longer affordable after getting charged $16 for a burger, fries, and soda

This is how I deal with nonsense like that whether I am in a country setting up retarded schemes or going to a fast food place.

Good, we need to get everyone to stop eating that poison! No better time,

1lb pack of ground beef in Florida 5-6 bucks and change, bag of potatoes, 3-5 bucks, buns, 2-3 bucks, everyone should already have seasoning at home.
You just fed the fam for less than the price of a number 1 with extra sodium and Poison. Can't even begin to compare the taste of homemade vs that trash they call a burger.

You are so right. Sadly most people don't know how to cook and are not motivated to learn how to do so. Most people don't have a good understanding of proper nutrition. We saw fine examples of that during the Covid19 lock down when folks were loosing their fucking minds because they couldn't go to restaurants.

I am not fan of fast food at all. However, about a week ago I got a hankering for onion rings. So I got some from a local spot. When I got to eating them they were meh. Looking at them they were all round and roughly the same size. I was greatly underwhelmed by the taste and texture of those onion rings to say the least. I suspect they were prepacked and frozen. The next day I went to Aldi's and picked up a bag of onion rings for less than the cost of an order of onion rings and they were delicious.

This weekend I got some big white onions. So most likely I'm going to make some onion rings this week. It's not about money anymore. It's about quality of life and being kinder to yourself and your family when it comes to nutrition. The cost of cold cuts have gotten so ridiculous I have decided to make cold cuts at home. It's not at all hard to do. Since childhood my family always had cookbooks. So from time to time I'd ask for certain treats to be made from the instructions given. Until I was old enough to use the stove and could make my own pancakes from scratch or French Toast.

We have to do better at swerving and avoiding poison out here labeled as food. You gotta read the labels. As well as question and seek disclosure of the ingredients used to prepare your food at restaurants and fast food chains.

Only thing that I might want from time to time is Wendy's fries.

The African spot was selling $12 Cassava platters. A week later they are $16. Asked for some pepper sauce bitch told me 2.50.

You can't be poor and live in America anymore.
Unless you live off your land. The Asians in my neighborhood have big gardens filled with vegetables. The Asian supermarket is the place to go for meat because they have their own slaughterhouses. Giant bag of rice, your own veggies, and a cheap whole chicken should feed your family for a week.

Well, ya'll keep saying "pay the workers a living wage" a franchise spends about 50% of their incoming cash on payroll.
They was raising the prices regardless. Gas prices, COVID, shipment shortage.. you name it they got an excuse. When gas prices go down the prices on food don't go down, when COVID ended the prices didn't go down, when shipments started moving again the prices didn't go down. So basically it was bullshit and they will always say bullshit to raise the price. Get rid employees and they'll blame johnny 5 for the price hike

This company has MADE record profits the last 10 years yet somehow the narrative is WORKERS are costing them money and that times are hard, they can't afford raises, cost of materials has gone up....

FYI - They've average 23.66 Billion over the last 10 years

#Amazing

 Fuck Fast Food

Stop supporting their bullshit factory meals and eat natural foods.

Put those fuckers out of business. Just here one of these chicken nugget companies is recalled their product because it may contain metal shards.

Who eats the most chicken nuggets? Kids
My city just built a burger king, they have mcdonalds, pizza hut, wingstop, dominos pizza, dunkin donut and popeyes.

Anybody that goes here if there’s an in and out near by is a clown. An animal style burger with fries and a drink is like $10 and the quality is 200 times better

It's always blame the workers instead of looking at the record profits and the bonuses and checks the billionaires cut themselves each year lmao this is why it's so hard for things to change, They got us fighting their battles for them. spewing their narrative and you see it everywhere online, people who will never be millionaires fighting for the cash of billionaires lmao

Did you notice where I used the word "franchise"? Most fast food restaurants are franchised. The owners aren't billionaires. The payroll comes out of their pocket for their locations. If you have a few franchises under your belt, yes you're a millionaire. If you only have one, (I've known a few people that are in that boat) they are barely making it, after franchise fees and paying rent. Yes, they will pass the cost on to you after raising pay.

Except these aren't excuses. Covid fucked UP EVERYTHING. supply chain issues are real as fuck. I dealt with them and still am (to some extent). Also, the stimulus money? That made people spend like crazy and if you got, people will raise the price to get it from you. Yes, greed is a factor but the cost of doing business is a factor as well.

It never was affordable to people too lazy to cook who eat out 6 days a week three weeks out of each month for 360 days a year, that shit adds up.

Alot of the fast food joints are open because of these people who can afford to eat there and since you can get things delivered too you now, shit is wide open and so are these places.
