Amazon to Bring Commercials Into Prime Video
The ad-supported tier will be the default option for its users starting in early 2024.
Say man, I think I mentioned this to you. We got Amazon prime, yet we prefer downloads to actually watching the service. My ol' lady said ads been on it and she can't stand it. She used to be able to use it, but when I mentioned it earlier she said it was unusable to her.![]()
Why Streaming Services Are Pushing Subscribers to Ad Tiers
With better margins on advertising-supported offerings, Disney, Netflix, Paramount, NBCUniversal and Warner Bros. Discovery find themselves incentivized to usher consumers to those plans.www.hollywoodreporter.com

Plus navigating all the service/movie selling on the interface is a terrible experience.
All streamers are moving to this model since streaming by itself is only profitable under the old Netflix model of using established content leased on the low and flooding a new market.
Remember how I showed you how subscriber numbers are inflated through offers that people don't even know they have(even using myself as an example)? Well, those subscriber numbers help trick shareholders but also serve the purpose of attracting adverstising. Advertisers give no fucks if those are paid or not paid. All they want is the eyes.Checkmate consumers.

Along with that audit check to see if you getting anything for free you not aware of. You might be surprised. I was.Yes you did
That's why I sent you that article in case you needed some evidence to prove to any doubters
It's still insane how now streaming is MORE EXPENSIVE than cable after we ALL thought it was gonna be the savior.
I gotta give myself am audit to see what EXACTLY I'm paying for every month

I think more deals might be coming to flood subscribers to platforms since the race for ad revenue is officially on. They can't even pretend no more. It will be a latch ditch attempt for SOME CEOs to save face on the streaming business model.
Not his problem. His greedy ass underlings.....???Bezos has all the money in the world and its still not enough.
Ads ruin content. Either thru annoying repetitive messages or too many ads
Streaming is less expensive than cable.. how much is an nfl package? I pay nothing thanks to free99… how much will the fight on the 30th will cost on cable? I will pay nothing and still see it.. Netflix, appletv, max, movies in theatres all are free.. blue beetle got a clear copy on free99 and it’s still in theatres.. if you have the internet and streaming and paying more than cable than you doing the internet wrongYes you did

Amazon Prime is trash now, every video I click they try to up-sell you to buy or rent. It's tricky now. I don't even try to watch Amazon Prime anymore.

When I saw this the other day it pissed me off. Initially I only had Prime video because I have Prime for shopping, but now I probably watch it more than other video streaming and it's the only one I've actually purchased content on. I have other channels like britbox and allblk through them. If they start charging more to keep it ad free, I'd probably do it, but I'd get rid of the extra channels I don't watch as much.

Thats funny...they do everything they possibly can to gain people's attention...thats a lot of money![]()
