I know today is Homecoming at a few schools, if you’re up getting ready to ride in one of the parades, when you’re done go vote. If you’re going watch, stop before you go to the parade.
You will regret that you didn’t show up for @wilsonforla
if @JeffLandry wins. Jeff is dangerous to the future of Black people, women, and forward thinking people. We have some Black leaders riding the fence because they made money off Jeff while he was Attorney General. They might have got a check, but he was daily putting checks in place to ensure we didn’t advance. He will do the same as governor. Black voters and forward thinking white voters stopped the radicals in 2015 and 2019, let’s do it again.
Go Vote, TODAY and Share if you care. We need to get the numbers up to send a message. I’m using my voice and influence, I’m asking you to do the same.
The results: 2,970,167 Registered Voters - 927,444 Are Black

Vaccine mandates and now the "immigrant" fiasco... anyone or thing

associated with biden is dead in the water. and not to mention the gay agenda

going after our children, thats all under democratic watch....

democrats had the house, senate and presidency and used it all for

fags, big pharma, ukraine and isreal....

they are unworthy of leading anything, much less a nation.

Maybe people are tired of Dems not doing shit with their votes :dunno: Yes lesser of two evils but these inner city locations are looking like war zones with 50-60 years of democratic support
If this was a runoff election then that argument would fly. But there were 12 people running for that office and in Louisiana elections anybody can run.

People ain't even trying.

Is this real?

There are some good comments under that tweet.

The bill is real and passed the state house. I can't find if it passed the senate or not.

Niggas went to Houston for the Saints game.

Jokes aside, this is an overwhelmingly red state and while New Orleans is reliably blue and legitimately liberal, the rest of the state is overwhelmingly red and even spots like East Baton Rouge Parish and Shreveport can go either way because people just might be naturally right-leaning democrats.

I tend to wonder, did Shawn Wilson lean a bit too left and should have followed John Bel-Edwards playbook of presenting himself as a centrist, if not right-leaning democrat?

the v
cities maybe, but not the state. The state and governor have much more power over peoples everyday lives. Now voting for local police is different

Landry was the attorney general for the last 8 years if he wanted to do something about the inner cities looking like war zones he could have, but he didn't. He went from tea party to Trump support, while dog-whistling to his base

You’re missing the point…the post I replied to was talking about Blacks not turning out to vote…Why would they? What has the Louisiana Democratic Party done to give them enthusiasm to vote? Louisiana Blacks have top level unemployment, low graduation rates, High poverty, New Orleans, and Baton Rouge are shit holes once you leave tourist areas….So what the fuck are they voting for? To prevent a Trumper… that shit is tired the people want more as noted by turnouts

It has been stated that elections in Louisiana are generally held at bad times (football season, carnival time), and while I don't discount that there are Black people who are sick of the Democrats (one of the reasons I was initially attracted to the ADOS movement). It has been stated that people have a tendency to get distracted and if that is the reason they aren't showing up to the polls.

Have a message, and make people want to go out and vote for you because they believe. Not feel entitled that they’re gonna vote for you just because you’re a democrat.
I agree with your first sentence. However, not every state is a this or that option. Just like Louisiana. You can run as a independent. You just gotta work harder at fundraising to get your name out there.

There are no primaries that are party-based to worry about.

Gotcha fuck your future when football and carnival season are taking place……..lol
