The correspondent was initially rumored to be a frontrunner for the job, but he was never going to stick around if he didn’t get it.

A lot of the industry is using this as a perfect example of being done dirty by folk you trusted in business.
If you're hiring in house you don't put up a job posting
If you're hiring in house you don't put up a job posting
Well thats not true. Union rules you HAVE TO POST IT INTERNALLY FIRST.
That don't mean we don't already know who giving it to though.
I was kidding earlier but I get it.
I think post #metoo George Floyd etc they were trying to make a big show and ratings grab.
I don't like it and didn't like it at the time.
But I got it.
You gotta at least CHECK to see the existing talent.
But that was Roy job.
We ALL (thought) it was a given.
But longer it took the worse I began to feel
There's no time
Didn't take long to announce Noah did it? Lol

Damn you double
In 2014 Noah began appearing as a correspondent on Comedy Central's satirical television news program The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. The next year, after Stewart announced that he was stepping down as host, Noah was announced as his replacement.
They better make sure to just pick a black woman or someone close.
Cause if not?
Woo boy
No rotating hosts
No plan to do a full search to see who
None of that
In life in work in everything if they want you they'll let you know
If they don't process that internally and move on
I don'tAgain to be fair...
You don't think metoo pandemic etc etc played a part in the opening casting call?
They did that on Jeopardy and the produce decided to hire HIMSELF!
They're lucky the show still exists
Landscape has changed completely. So Idc who they pick because the best is behind them it's good Roy wasn't named Captain of a sinking ship
I don't
They don't care about that stuff

But they obviously don't think soBut I think Roy could have SAVED the ship.
I think that show that format in an election year? Could be great again.
He killed at the correspondent dinner. He got the experience. He is smart and funny.
Charlemagne sh*t was weak TWICE.
But Roy ain't that he is much more likeable and believable
I think they wanted to give the appearance they care
But they obviously don't think so
Hold on
Bro a nightly political real time comedy show won't work on 2023 2024?
Of course it'll work
They're lucky there's does
Why is there only one?
I'm blackYo.
Why the hell you ain't running a network yet?
