Max kellerman OUT at ESPN first take

What I find funny is, TO said this BS but he the one that married or wifed up white women. SAS has black daughters, went to a HBCU, is in a black fraternity, and has an ENDOWMENT at a HBCU....Screams HBCU love on ESPN....Nigga how much blacker can you get?
All that and he's still a tool for those white devils at ESPN, a weapon used to constantly shit on black athletes while he calls white athletes brothers and excuses their behavior. Fuck Stephen a.

SAS had some very questionable takes in the past that the majority of Black people who heard them looked at him sideways.

TO’s statement isn’t in context in an 18 second clip and when he made it, it wasn’t a wild take.

Unfortunately I don’t remember the takes.

Shit on black athletes or gives his opinion on athletes?

So is every black person that work in corporate America a devil?

We all entitled to our opinions though

Any mf who claims to love black people but marries or caters to white folk is fake. Period.

Never said he was Malcolm X, but facts are facts. I can't respect TO because he only fucks with white woman and has the nerve to call another man who has black daughters less of a black man than a white man...

Clown shit to me....I take his viewpoints as his opinions but not a Coon.

Again, ,why niggas not giving him credit for brining Unc on ESPN. Unc even came out and said there were tons of people who said they would look out, but were nowhere to be found....

SAS reminds me of an old conservative black man that just has certain believes. I've seen that shit all the time....Actually know and volunteered with some older cats that probably have contributed more money and time than anyone on this board to uplifting black kids, but have certain views and standards..

@playahaitian thread is almost 4 years old. SAS has and had a history of questionable takes that had many of us side eyeing him on Black issues.

Those are the facts, to the point that @playahaitian made a thread about it.

Regarding TO, he was just the messenger of a point that many felt at that time but no one said it. I understand your point about him only dealing with white women but the focus at the time was SAS takes on certain issues and not TO.

A lot can change in 4 years, and in that 4 years SAS to my knowledge hasn't had any wild or questionable takes on Black issues that had us side eyeing him again.

I can respect this, but I find it very hard to constantly throw the Coon word around with him. Jason Whitlock or Tim Scott, yeah they are Coon. I would have to look back to see some of things he said, but I don't know...

I guess for me, having graduated from WSSU I know some of things he has done behind the scene for our institution and actually giving money to help kids get an education...Also, just helping HBCUs in general with generating money for kids to be able to attend school as well....I just don't think a person who is a Coon would do that...

Also, what other media personality do you know actually put HBCUs on a major platform prior to SAS?? I love Unc and glad he is on ESPN, but I ain't never heard that nigga scream Savannah State until it was cool to rep. HBCUs......

I can agree with questionable takes, but I just can't get down with calling that man a coon for having a different viewpoint...

I remember about 3 years ago SAS did a zoom call interview with some MASS Comm majors from various HBCUs....My wife who was stern about him being a coon and etc. (which I always shut her up when ask when was the last time you donated to your school), but she couldn't believe that was the same dude. Like she was just shocked how thought provoking and engaging he was...

I think too many people associate his antics on TV to who is in real life which is definitely not accurate.../

This is why Shannon Sharpe needs to be extremely careful. Stephen A Smith is not Skip Bayless, but he’s not too far from him.

How you know he is not grooming him to be his replacement? Why should he be careful? SAS was the only one that reached out and gave that man a job....He didn't have to do that....

I never called him a coon but many have in the past. Many felt he was a puppet for ESPN pushing an agenda at times and that's why he was called a coon.

Maybe he wanted to make up for his coonery by giving back to HBCU's? Hey I don't know, I didn't call him that I jus t knew that he said some wild shit at times.

Regarding who he is on tv. He's giving his POV and his perspective on issues. If his perspective some believe are coonish, well then the shoe fits on that issue.

I don’t trust Stephen A Smith, when you get the best of him he like to pull the rug from under you

I respect it.

My thing is I know people from Queens who say SAS ain't solid.

Again I never met the man I met dudes who worked directly with him and on espn and fox. So I can only judge a man by his actions and reputation.

SAS was shaky for a LONG TIME constantly backsliding

And this thing with Max got white and black his own PEERS all looking at him sideways.

So I'm washing my hands and letting yall be judge.

What I find funny is SAS's bitch ass caped for Jerry Jones racist ass giving him a pass, saying he was just "curious" and his young white racist ass was in the crowd keeping other black kids from entering that school. That hoe ass bitch, SAS, also is good friends with Sean Hannity and goes on Hannity's show to kiss his ass and shuck and jive for him on the regular. SAS is and will ALWAYS be a B.A.N! Fuck his bitchass FOREVER! Ain't no coming back for him. Old Sesame Street looking ass niigga.

I respect that also because I don't know him personally either. Just going off of what people at my institution have said in regards to what he has done for endowment dollars and helping kids get an education.

He might be a back stabbing asshole and that's something he has to take to his grave and live with.

My issue is using the Coon word. Call him a bitch, asshole, and etc., but that word just doesn't sit well because I feel all Coons should DIE. I wish Time Scott would rot in hell.
Jason Whitlock could die for all I care.....

Coon's don't do shit for black people

Maybe true, but that still doesn't negate the fact he gave that man a job. I guess from this take Unc should have said naw, I am good....

I am no way saying SAS shouldn't be criticize, but if we going to just point out the negatives, I am also going to point out the positives he has done.

Got niggas out here rocking HBCUs gear and watching HBCUs games that 10 years ago didn't know the MEAC, CIAA, or SWAC even existed.

Coon's don't do shit for black people

respect

never called SAS coon

I called him coon-ish

I think there is a distinction between the two.

but I disagree Coons DO do sh*t for black people

they HURT them with their actions.

I will always say if you think his takes are coonish, just look at the FACTS and the things he has done.

Don't take this the wrong way because I am not trying to argue or anything, but I attend a HBCU and before he got big on ESPN, no one gave a flying fuck about out institutions. He gave our schools a platform and now enrollments are up, more money is coming into the schools, and people are seeing that you don't have to look at Power 5 schools on Saturdays. He has written checks for HBCUS and that whole HBCU week he does on ESPN, for me that shit is BIG....Kids are getting scholarships on the spot attending that event...

Bill Cosby has donated more money and he rapes

But that's not the point.

I'm happy and glad that SAS has brought light, shine and attention to HBCU's. I glad that he's donated and provided scholarships.

And I'm not taking this as an argument, just a discussion.

I don't have a problem with SAS, I'm just saying in the past that he has some questionable takes on Black issues that has many questioning him.

Not on his Blackness or if he was a coon, more of "WTF are you on"? So when TO said what he said, many felt the same way about him when he spoke on a couple of topics.

You got dumb ass White Boys making stupid comments like this not knowing SAS played for one of the most iconic D2 College Coaches EVER - Big House Gaines!

LOL

Correct and the point I am making is if TO would have done his homework and looked at the things SAS has done (actions) and he would have maybe not say a WHITE MAN is more BLACK than a BLACK MAN.....That's all I am saying.....

As Black Men, we should be critical when someone does some questionable shit, but we should also praise someone when they do some good shit....

So let me ask this, I'm still fuzzy on the time-line and series of events....

TO's comments about Max being Black was back when he was on FT with SAS, right?

And then SAS sat down with Joe last week.

So when / what started this new feud with TO and SAS, cuz I saw the I guess response from SAS about being in Colorado, what did TO say or do?

also I don't recall did SAS mention TO in the Joe Budden interview?

KAEPERNICK FELL SHORTRed Pill Podcast

Marcellus Wiley says Colin Kaepernick should've never knelt in the first place ... because taking a knee was too divisive and not a good strategy to make change.

Wiley -- one of Kap's loudest critics -- sat down with Van Lathan on "The Red Pill Podcast" and when asked if Colin Kaepernick did the right thing by kneeling Wiley was clear.

"No. If I had to vote whether Kaepernick did right or did wrong I would vote wrong, because I'm into resources. I'm into materializing. I'm into monetizing."

The "Speak For Yourself" host went on to compare Kaepernick's fundraising to J.J. Watt's Hurricane Harvey fundraising, saying that Watt was able to raise more money because he was more inclusive.

"I watch J.J. Watt, different cause, different reason. Instead of being adversarial. In alliance, he raised $41.6 million on record. $2 million on record, $41.6 million on record.'

Lathan points out that Kap's protest and Watt's fundraising are two totally different causes, but Wiley then turned to the fact that Colin's silence is part of the reason he thinks his protest fell flat.

"I'm not going to stand up with that responsibility, and connect with the voiceless and powerless and then go silent on them."

We should say, Colin Kaepernick hasn't gone silent, he's reached out to kids through his Know Your Rights Camps, and has been an active lightning rod for social justice since he first started to protest, but it's obvious Wiley thinks he hasn't done enough.

It was sparked up thru tweets

I think there's some middle ground, and Stephen A is making it personal talking about it publicly when he should shut up and move on.

Stephen A and Max weren't good together. We've probably all had co-workers we didn't like or dealt with because we had to.

The black and white thing, not sure why Marcellus was making a big deal about it. Skip did the same thing. It's about ratings, and they don't want it to one way.

Also Marcellius should watch the "black" thing when he has many of the conservative rich values SAS has.

I don't think SAS cares as much as he cares about it being good TV.

You got dumb ass White Boys making stupid comments like this not knowing SAS played for one of the most iconic D2 College Coaches EVER - Big House Gaines!

I think the white boy is dumb enough to know he went to WSSU, but discredits it because it's an HBCU

That's why we get inarticulate boring former athletes on TV. People are just attracted to names.
