Money Debate: "We need to see pain in the economy. We need to remind people that they work for the employer, not the other way around."

SPOILER: Scene from the season finale of I'm A Virgo, very relevant to this.

It is better to watch in context but if you're not definitely going to, watch the clip. It is impossible to spoil that crazy ass show but this is from the final minutes.

People corporations are very afraid of generation Z and some Millennials right now. Covid has a huge silver lining, and that silver lining is people finally open their eyes. Why to see what’s really going on with corporations around the world. I got first hand taste of that with my TMO departure (they did give me a good severance though, but still 5000 of us was sacrificed for the shareholder). The new generation of people can set these corporations on fire.

Also, if there ever is a society break down in the near future, this guy better have a small army around him at all times.

It's crazy. As someone who worked backbreaking work(UPS loading trucks, warehouse, etc), I know what it's like to work hard. Big fucking difference than working 'brainpower' shit that I've done. So trust, I do have empathy for workers.

But let's be real, some of these new workers pussy and are from the 'microaggression' generation. These the types bitch about not being able to use headphones at Amazon. Fucking headphones. In the 90s, I did 12hours at a warehouse and never thought about headphones. I can't even relate to some of these newage people. Fuck them. I hate weakness.

Yeah, he is talking major shit about 50 percent unemployment, but more unskilled people think they are special than ever before in human history. At the same time, we know the corporations want to squeeze the most from workers without treating them right. People like this guy, so fuck him too. I hate greed too.
Going through this shit right now. In my case. I'm training a new guy. Dude has zero attention span and always on his damn phone.

Told ya one of the meanings to me in the movie the matrix was about big bizz and the employees.. the machines were the corporations, the humans were the employees. The machines use humans as batteries to keep the machines going aka big bizz. When the humans aka batteries become useless they throw them away and get new ones to keep the system going, the new batteries are your kids and future generations. To get out the matrix or be awoke from the matrix is to start your own bizz, entrepreneurship, or fig out a way to generate money without being a battery to the machines and to realize being human is to actually enjoy life. Big bizz or the machines don’t want you to be awoke or break from that system cause it keeps their system going. They look at you as only batteries being born to just work for them

Every yr after that movie came out I see big bizz openly saying this is exactly what they think. Exhibit A is what the op posted.. there’s a reason why I always say Ferris buellers day off and the matrix had way bigger meaning than what people think and why those some of my favorite movies ever
Yeah... I thought of it this way too, but never worked out a way to communicate it on a level most people would get. Great analogy.

Very well said.

Often, creatives that lean "conservative" whom one might think would lean progressive due to their ethnicity, religion, etc., seem to hang together on the basis of wealth rather than any other commonality.
What often happens is that individuals that had a poor relationship with their community (ie. they were drug dealers and abused their community so they had no real love) find much more in common with greed and avarice then they do with community. Others are traumatized by their community and their upbringing and use it as motivation to get out. To get out for them is to never come back. Only the few can grow up in a fucked up situation and not want to take advantage or escape but to want to help and heal. But then America chews those few up because the system abhors anomalies.

In America (and most of the world) it's much easier to be successful being greedy than it is being giving. So the dickheads get power and the power corrupts. Being rich doesn't make you a better person it just magnifies who you already are. Some rich people get it right and can balance their need to have power with a love of people. But most rich people only love themselves and come from the position that everyone else operates the same way. That is why it's easier for a camel to go through an eye of a needle. It's the journey of the rich black man in America to gain the world and not lose your soul.

It has nothing to do with being black, a soul, nor the moral turpitude of the impoverished child taking the only route open to him to make money, fast. Does big pharma have a poor relationship with its community?

Having moved in wealthy, poor, black, white, and other circles, I have learned that people are often simply not shit.

Black people are just as fucked up as white folks. It just so happens that white folks have the power at the moment. This is evidenced by the barbaric practices such as female genital mutilation, the subjugation of women in general, and the attempt to master Mother Nature (it has never worked; if you haven't noticed, She has been taking us out in droves lately) rather than live as a part of the ecosystem, as do most other species. The last point is something Africans as well as Europeans have yet to learn, despite all of the advances in modern technology.

I have no love for the community that spawned me. I am from the shit side of Detroit, and have no desire to return to the hood.

I was going to let this pass without comment, but I am so goddamned sick of biblical references cited in support of positions...I could not help myself. Time to stop living by the creed of the people who enslaved Africans for centuries, and committed the greatest genocide in human history in what is now the Americas.

The bible, as well as the other 2 Abrahamic religions, have been very effective tools of intellectual enslavement for a long, long time.

Americans have to many choices and if they didn't what would they do besides appreciate what they had.

I agree and disagree at the same damn time, you spoil a child what do you expect, many Americans are spoiled and make dumb decisions and want to blame someone else for their poor choices;Yes you need a car but you don't need a 60 dollar car you really can't afford....why did they give it to you?cause you were stupid enough to take it,just get your shit out of it and wait for the repo man.

I'm sorry you were touched brother. LOL I was kind of agreeing with you how people tend to move toward their shared commonalty. I think it touched you because you may have ran from your own people based on trauma and my words hurt a little. It shouldn't since you don't think it has anything to do with morality. But that fact that you are a little hurt shows that it does.

1) Black people in America have a unique history that affects our experience in America and influence our decisions. So if you are black and you identify as black some of your decisions should reflect your identity.

2) Companies aren't people they don't have morals they aren't real.
3) Your decisions are a reflection of your morality.

It seems you are of the type that have not allegiance to their neighborhood or community and for that reason you were offended by my characterization of people that run from their community based on trauma. You clearly ran from your community based on trauma which is a selfish decision. Some people that have more love of the people in their community try to make their environment better. You don't and that's fine you can build your own community with people you like. Kind of like the rappers hanging out with billionaires. Take on the trappings of your oppressor you seem to think they are just like you.

I didn't use the bible I used an analogy that was used in the bible. Most of the stories from the bible were stolen from other older religions. The truth we find as human beings from stories is deeper than the book they are contained in. Look for the truth in what you hear and don't be blinded by where you think it came from.

The truth is that is very hard for rich people to be moral. And what you consider heaven is what you consider heaven.

And if you don't believe you have a soul you might describe it as a different thing or you are just stupid.
