People mad at Noah Lyles for his comment about the NBA

 I get what he is trying to say, but he is wrong regardless. Other teams would have to borrow back NBA players to try to compete with the NBA and why would an NBA player in their prime do that?

People forget the only reason the olympics scores are closer is because the NBA talent goes back to their respective countries to play for the national team. Bar the NBA talent from returning home and we getting those dream team 92 scores back. :roflmao3:
same goes on with football but they aint saying that im talking soccer

Damn so now conservatives who hate Lebron and any NBAer who dares to do more than shut up and dribble has to defend the NBA as best in the world because...USA! USA! USA!

I see a lot of emotional responses to this take. People calling him gay, ignorant and all kinds of shit just because he makes the point that the NBA Champs are considered world champions. Maybe it’s the messenger and not the message, but for a lot of people reacting as if he said the NBA is complete and utter trash is ridiculous.

You know exactly what he meant and he wasn’t wrong about his take. Hell, I’ve always said it that too, but enough to argue about it. Lmao! Y’all act like he just smacked y’all’s mamas or some shit.

No one is arguing that some of the best players in the world play in the NBA. There’s no argument there. No one is arguing that USA team is built with NBA players. To bring up those points doesn’t make what he’s saying invalid. Lmao

There is only one team in the league that is from a different country and that is Toronto. I can understand if the league played teams across seas during the season and those teams had a chance to play for an NBA chip. Obviously, that would be very difficult to manage on a global scale.

So by that point, he’s correct. The league isn’t technically world champs. I get why they say it, but let’s not act like dude is completely off with this take.

I See What He tried to say but he couldn't be more incorrect, there isn't a player on the world who could cut it in the NBA that wouldn't choose to play in the NBA given the chance.

Also there is no team from any country that would stand a chance against an American born super team, we win gold with scrub bench squads. But that's besides the point :giggle:

Is he not a "World Champion" because he doesn't fight at the Olympics and other world championship events against other countries?

The NBA has the best basketball players in the world. People all countries are invited to play in the NBA and usually only the best make it. There's other variables but they're the best in the world.

Since the best basketball players in the world all play under the umbrella that's the NBA. The champion of that league is declared the world's best.

If he didn't sound so belligerent about it, and said is as more of a joke, maybe he wouldn't be getting so much smoke for it, but listening to the audio, he was saying it like he truly had a problem with it... and like he thought he was the only person to figure out that the NBA is only in 2 countries.

.

he does not big bro
european soccer league have the same point nobody says we are the best in the WORLD
Because you're not. The best soccer players on the planet historically hail from Brazil and Argentina... Not only does the US produce the best basketball players ever , they also have the best league in the world.. Our players have won over 90% of international play since its inception and the worlds best come here for the highest level of competition.

Further, why even bring this shit up? Its bullshit borderline coon pandering and his point was terribly articulated and presented. Why bring up the "Black" sport where his logic doesnt apply? Why not baseball where it actually does (world series)? The idiot doesnt realize hes gonna isolate his base soft shoe cooning , as well as the cac with his "I love the US most times" bullshit. Kid is about to be on a island.

The funny part is that I agree with the delivery. Lmao! It definitely came off bitter.

He had a fruity delivery that came of as weird because why was he speaking about or even thinking about the NBA?

He could've picked any other sport but chose to speak about the NBA.

And he said watching try NBA crown a champion a World Champion hurts him the most.

If a gold medalists in Olympic basketball made the comment I'd still feel that they were wrong, but he's a fucking sprinter.

Just weird for him to speak on the NBA especially in that nature. If his goal was to get attention he got it.

Unfortunately it's negative attention and now he's classified as a dumbass that ain't worth listening to.

The world must be bored. I have no idea why this is even a topic
Because he winning right now, the Olympics need that fire on the men's side of track and field, and he doing what he supposed to, talk his shit.
There are few sports where you can have this level of bravado. Track is one. Ain't no team(except relays) it's you against other country's best.
You win the 100 your the fastest man in the world. Jokic won MVP but do we think he's beating Giannis 1v1?

Imagine winning 3 gold medals and instead of thanking your fam, your God, your trainers....you take the time to talk about the NBA......

Did he recently lose his chick to an NBA dude?

I get him talking his shit, but I don't know why anyone cares what he thinks. If he said the same thing about the NFL, they would ignore him. The NFL crowns themselves world champs as well.

It's like throwing shots at em,hov,50, Wayne, Kendrick, Drake in rap . That's all bro. He better win every race from this point forward though it is gone be hell for him media wise

I don't think that anyone cares what he thinks.

I believe it's the why?

Why did he feel the need to speak on the NBA in his shining moment?

Why does the word "World Champion" hurt him more than anything in life when it comes to the NBA?

It comes across as unnecessary, pointless and just no reason to say.

Seriously, instead of mentioned all that you said he's thinking about NBA "World" Champions.

And it's more likely that an NBA dude turned him down.
