as I say... fuck the UFC... that organization is a huge cesspool
I hope you aren't trying to use Bob Arum to prove your point.

Chinese brawd bout to get stir fried....I got my money where my mouf is... brah
Aljo is pretty hateable to be fair lol I remember when he was coming up he was a fan favorite but the more he spoke the more he alienated almost all fans for one thing or another, throw in winning the title on a foul(with the porn level acting by aljo) a razor close controversial split decision win in the rematch with Yan, a win against a one armed TJ, and another controversial split decision win against Henry(he lost imo) and it's a recipe for an unlikable fighter with a questionable at best championship run.Same crowd hated him, and never gave him any love during his run.

Now getting dropped by a dude named sugar...he has one of the most fraudulent runs in championship history and people where talking about him being the best in the division ever. Lmao

the thing people forget about aljo is he was a fan favorite before that moment, People on the internet forums(yes even cacs) would bitch and moan about how he hadn't gotten the title shot yet, but rolling around the floor looking for the easy way out definitely ruined his fandom. And that's why I never really rocked with him. I'm gonna root for him because he's Black, but other than that I didn't rock with him.
He could've continued that fight but l think that he knew he'd lose and chose the easiest way for the title.
I understood it but didn't respect it.
Yeah YanSexuals are something else lol and aljo is definitely a person who seems fan approval as much as he tries to act like he doesn't.Fair points,
Seems like the hate stems from Yan 1. Folks just hated him and it wasn’t going to get better. Bruh wants to be loved and I bet it’s killing him. Matter of fact at the presser he admitted that he was out of his element and decided to be aggressive to avoid any criticism about his boring style. He should’ve kept tapping Sugar in the legs and waited for an opportunity to grapple.
Lastly, I wasn’t buying into the bullshit that he is the greatest Bantamweight of all time, I thought O’Malley started that bullshit because he knew he was going to get a fresh crack at his chin.
go be a coachI don't know if it's been posted, but Weidman tore his MCL or ACL or some shit.
He 100% needs to retire.
Damn, he's had a rough last few years. Dude was a beast at one point(pre-usada weirdly enough lol) but it's definitely time to hang em up.I don't know if it's been posted, but Weidman tore his MCL or ACL or some shit.

A lot of why he's hated isn't his fault, split decisions, tjs injury, hell even the foul from Yan, It's just how he goes about it. If he would have just laid there hurt from the knee, spoke to the doctor, told him he can't see it would have been one thing, but the goofy acting really wasn't a good look lol he really did some NBA level flopping antics and was the first person in the UFC to be gifted the title. That's not gonna go over well with fans.
Dana White is gonna jerkoff to this replay backstage in a minute.
I don’t think O’Malley’s reign will last.Yeah YanSexuals are something else lol and aljo is definitely a person who seems fan approval as much as he tries to act like he doesn't.
And I agree fully, the proper strategy with Sean is to leg kick and take it slow(could be why Cheto may be an interesting match up)and for aljo specifically to shoot and wrap him up, push him against the cage and grind for 5 rounds, even if he couldn't have gotten the takedown he should have pulled a Colby and wall and stalled him for 5. Instead aljo pulled an Aldo and walked right into Sean's power.
Yeah it was definitely a small group of fans pushing that agenda and to be fair to Sean I think it's smart to prop up your opponent, I never understood saying someone is a bum before you fight them, it just takes away from your achievement.
Agreed! I think he will beat Chito. He takes too long to get going. Sean will have pieced him up by then.I don’t think O’Malley’s reign will last.
Sandhagen, Cejudo, or Merab will take the belt. Chito is a good first title defense because I think he beats him in the rematch.
It's a tough division to stay champ in, Cheto is definitely his most winnable fight, I don't think Cheto will start as slow against O'malley like he usually does since O'malley will force him to fight earlier, I think that may end up being a really good exciting fight and I wouldn't be shocked if Cheto wins although O'malley has the edge for sure imoI don’t think O’Malley’s reign will last.

And that's what I don't get the leg kicks were working to the point he was switching stances and he just gave up on that! I don't think Aljo is the greatest bantamweight, but he deserved his title. He beat Yan in that 2nd fight, put Sandhagen to sleep, if TJ was so compromised then he shouldn't have been in the fight to begin with, but being out for 2+years and no longer juicing does that to your body and beat Cejudo. He was the champ for a reason. But him abandoning his wrestling to fight someone in THEIR fighting style is just STUPID!!!! Leg kick to hell and take down attempts! That right counter is O'Malley's wheel house!Yeah YanSexuals are something else lol and aljo is definitely a person who seems fan approval as much as he tries to act like he doesn't.

But this opens up Merab to get a title shot though. He and Aljo didn't want to fight each other so now lets see what Merab can do with the shot.
The leg kicks were definitely working as they tend to do against wide stance karate types, aljo has always had poor fight Iq. It's his worst attribute imoAnd that's what I don't get the leg kicks were working to the point he was switching stances and he just gave up on that! O'Malley fought Cheto once already and broke his foot...in a fight Sean was losing.

I don't blame aljo for the circumstances of his run, it's just an attributing Factor why no one likes him, his title run and the fact he's unlikable made him an easy target for the MMA fan base to shit on.
Definitely interested in his title defenses, I don't think he was losing the Cheto fight personally but either way he ended up losing after the injury and that's all that matters, their rematch should be a fun one and the lead up will be hilarious. Merab will be very interesting if Sean gets past Cheto, that little wolverine has proven me wrong time and time again, I thought Yan would run through him but instead it went the complete other way, it's hard to doubt merab at this point, my only concern is he's tiny next to Sean.
