Yeah that was quick
That was an early stoppage. He was getting beat up, but he was still fighting back and protecting himself. The champ deserves more opportunity to recover than that.

Good stoppage, aljo lives to fight another day and didn't take more punishment than he needed. The refs job is to protect the fighter not to quench the fans bloodlust.

Aljo trying to strike with this guy was the worst case scenario. He probably felt good about the leg kicks, but you can tell Sean was waiting for that one strike. Aljo lunges forward and finds himself in awkward positions which makes him susceptible to strikers

Aljo didn't show enough to warrant an automatic rematch, but he deserves on. Dana would rather French kiss a rabid baboon's asshole than give Aljo a shot at fuckin up that Suga bag now.

He turned to his stomach, which is the best position to be if you want to take some uncontested shots.
Given the info at that precise moment it was a good stoppage.
Had the fight continued, AS could’ve recovered…..or gotten punched thru the canvas of the Octagon.
Put yourself in these positions and you force the ref to involve himself in the fight.
Not happy but you live to fight another day.

That is the only way. The problem is Sean is shifty and nifty. Aljo’s best chance was to hang around to the 3rd round and get Sean down. Aljo was too aggressive which made him wide open for a shot.
Khamzat doesn’t fuck around he’ll trade one or two shots, feint, get your reaction and immediately charge for a takedown. I was hoping to see something similar from Aljo.
I think aljo flight a bad game plan tonight, it should have been wrestling, wrestling, wrestling, wrestling. He really played right into Sean's hand the way he did against Marlon morais.
Aljo didn't complain, he was done man. The last thing I want to see is aljo flatlined and doing that fencing response in the middle of the cage, he lost and was able to walk away, give a great speech after the fight and go home to the fam healthy and with his brain intact
