For all the bitchin’ folks do about owners doing the players dirty, they sure are paying up for these dudes. They can trade him to Utah tomorrow and I wouldn’t shed a tear. Y’all feeling sorry for niggas get paid $50-60 million a year. I can’t see it.

The wealth needs to be more equal across the board for players and they should be expected to honor the lucrative contracts they sign.

I agree.

Adam Silver is loving this. Just like you said, NBA making sure their players don’t “grow together”. Can’t keep a team together if you can’t pay them. Less dynasties=supposed more parity. Silver is smiling

Why is he worth that much?

Dude hasn't won a finals MVP nor league MVP. But congrats to the Celtics on giving him that huge contract.

This the way of the sports world in my opinion. Reminds me of how the elite QB’s in football are constantly “one-upping” their contracts and haven’t won a ring. We all know that Tatum will have the “richest deal in NBA history” next year and then whoever the next Superstar who is eligible will beat out Tatum. But they are just going to be too heavy with no money to improve the overall team.

But like Teague said, most players would rather have the “richest deal in NBA” history than a title. Nothing wrong with that from their standpoint but as a fan who reaps no benefits from seeing these dudes get paid, I’d be upset if all the money is tied up on dudes that will never win anything together.

I don't see the Celtics improving much being able to afford players to help the team giving players those huge contracts that haven't gotten a ring or an MVP yet.

I think this is inaccurate

because there's a huge buyout
That would be without the buyout...

But still it won't happen...the Saudi league has no appeal to him as it's not a big time league.. at this point, it's all speculation

If I was Jaylen Brown, after giving up 8 turnovers that last game, I'd be working on my handles (especially the left hand), every single day on the off season. He's fortunate that performance didn't mess up his money. I'm interested in seeing the details of the contract. That "worth up to" line has got me curious.

Congrats to the brotha!

Let’s hope he has that type of mentality cuz He’s going to get paid regardless if he can dribble with one hand or none. He can go full Ben Simmons if he wants to now. That’s the “greatness” of NBA contracts
