A search is underway for missing submarine that takes people to see Titanic..

in my uninformed opinion - its not about the length - its about the environmental conditions on the tether itself and how it will effect a vehicle carrying people-

and also consider that a different sub of similar type and size -a year or so ago -
was pulled by currents to be trapped in the Titanic's propeller for hours
my guess is snags on the wreckage is another factor

I worked on this site and drilled the first oil well there. The currents at the surface down to 800 meters are crazy. We would launch the ROV and by the time we got to working depth, we would be 300 meters away from our launch points. Launch and recovery were the worst I've ever experienced and the support boat couldn't even launch. The one time they did launch, they broke their tether and I had to work with the rig to hook up the subsea crane to lift it.

If they find these guys, getting them to the surface would be fast if they have the length of cable. A drillship could do it with a drill pipe with a hook and sling attached to the end, but it's a slower process running pipe.

There is where it gets sticky. Getting them to the surface slowly as to not induce the bends. They've got to stop every so often for decompression. That will take a while coming from two miles down.

Glad you have the knowledge on this issue. Still can't believe that idiot didnt think about any SHTF scenarios.

Kinda related....

But why are we as a people so SCARED of everything?

What's the point of living if all you want to do is sit on the couch and watch sports and chase women?
Not saying I want to visit the titanic or nothing but I'm open to actually experiencing life.

Just my 2 cents

what we scared of...other than shit that kills you...brah... we do everything within reason...of not committing suicide
valid points....

heres the thing though....we will all die

taking chances...exercising caution...ALL eventually end in the graveyard...

we all owe a death...

you can be as cautious as you want but you wont escape whats coming for us all

but i get where yall are coming from

Wait, this shit is wireless?!?!?!?!

This is our old setup from the training center. All of the controls are hard-wired! This is beyond stupid. It should be hard-wired into the controls with an option to use a keyboard or mouse to control other functions. Cats about to get crushed to death cause homeboy ain't put in fresh batteries.

And they probably skimmed on the batteries
Instead of Duracell or Energizers
Mofos probably used them cheap ass Walmart batteries
You know...the generic shits that come with the controller for free

There shouldn't be any bends involved. They should be at 1 atmosphere inside of the tube. You're probably thinking of a diving bell. Inside the bell you're pressurized and have to surface slowly.

Anyway, would you rather have the bends or be crushed to death.

The thing that disturbs me the most about these billionaires who start these company's and construct these contraptions is that they are reckless.
They skimp on certain things i.e.: Elon Musk's arrogant ass refused to build a pad with a dousing system that would prevent the rocket from destroying the pad. The pad was destroyed as a result and caused delays in additional missions.

This guy built a submersible with no regulation, no safety measures or procedures in place. No umbilical, no backup communications system, no black box. That is purely reckless behavior. These mofos swear they are such geniuses too. Only a fool would risk their lives trusting these dudes but because they are white with money...
Rich people tend to be a lil stingy.

I remember working in Rick Ross spot. We needed a $100 plugin for some music. He damn near pitched a fit when we asked for the bread to get it.. We ended up hitting the software company and telling them we were working for him. They gave us the plug free. This opened my eyes to how the rich maintain wealth.

How much you wanna bet they looking at each other deciding who they gonna take out to conserve air.

Folks get desperate, the human animal comes out.

Survival of the Fittest.

I was just thinking about this
If I was stuck in a sub with 4 cac's.....

** First of all, I would never do some dumb shit like this. But I'll continue for the sake of argument. **

If I was stuck in a sub with 4 cac's & we had to fight for oxygen.....
There's gonna be 4 non-melanin dead bodies in that mofo

Is there a reason they can’t just pilot back to the surface? Is the controller out of batteries?
From what l understand this thing is basically designed to do two things, sink and float, it's a low power submersible that doesn't have a ton of tech, it's like one button to go down and one for up lol also its supposed to have several fail-safes for scenarios where even if the crew is passed out it deploys the sand bags and floats to the top. The fact it hasn't doesn't give much hope. Those boys are probably fish food by now

This story just gets funnier. Nigs are gonna have the mist moment with Benadryl… at the last moment the ship gonna go back up and the captain gonna have 4 dead bodies in his failed science project.. when they open the door he gonna see the fired employee that told him it was a bad idea looking at him like I told you so.. than the lawsuits happen and the ending mist theme song comes on..lmaooooo.. this movie needs to be made.. zombie Jack, underwater aliens, Logitech malfunctions, the I told you it’s a bad idea guy, oh boy comedy of the yr
