Quincy Jones was reportedly rushed to hospital after suffering a medical emergency.
According to TMZ, the legendary music producer was at his home in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon when the incident occurred.
The site claims the 90-year-old had a bad reaction to something he'd eaten and called 911 for help out of "an abundance of caution".
He was then transported to the hospital by paramedics to get checked out.
It's been said Jones never lost consciousness and by the end of the ordeal was in "great spirits".
Jones was eventually given the all-clear by doctors and released.
Jones is a 28-time Grammy award winner, noted for his work with some of the most defining musicians of the past 70 years.
This includes collaborations with Frank Sinatra, and producing Michael Jackson's three most beloved albums - Off The Wall, Thriller and Bad - all of which broke records between 1979 and 1987.
He later branched out to film scores, penning material for award-winning movies including In Cold Blood, The Italian Job and The Wiz.
He holds the position of third most Grammy wins ever, beaten only by Beyoncé (who has 32) and conductor George Salti (who has 31).
Jones has seven children - Jolie, 69, Rachel, 59, Martina, 56, Quincy III, 54, Kidada, 49, Rashida, 47, and Kenya, 30.
Some have pursued careers in the spotlight, while others have opted to maintain private lives due to health issues or lack of desire to follow their father's Hollywood footsteps.
Rashida is best known for her acting roles, particularly comedy, starring in shows including Parks and Recreation, I Love You Man, and Angie Tribeca.
